Clean, quiet, safe and overall nice senior apartment / assisted living community. They do have some strict rules; some are necessary and others seem a bit excessive (ie it is a violation of your lease to back your car in to your parking space). Unfortunately due to COVID a lot of the community activities have been scaled down or temporarily canceled. The have a small pool and a hot tub available for use but I have yet to see anyone use it and the guest policy for its use is not geared to allow grandkids to visit and use the faculty unfortunately. That is disappointing because it would encourage some families to visit and encourage the resident to get out of their apartment. I would like to see them do more community activities like walking or yoga or offer a water exercise class and more arts and crafts. I would like to see if they would allow residents to collect the CRV containers and use the money for activities or pizza party or have a semi formal dance event. Have someone reach out to the local Girlscouts and see if they can get them to visit or commit to a project or job onsite here like picking up the trash and recycling for those residents that are unable to walk their trash down to the trash chute. Offer to take dogs for walks. Can we find drivers to pick those residents up that want to volunteer at the local SPCA off Hwy 12. They have a very small garden in the back of the property but vegetables can’t be grown and they don’t have much money or supplies or a shed to store it and I don’t know how much room the big corporate owners are willing to give up to allow them to possibly expand the garden. It would bring them together and give them an activity as well. They just want to feel useful and like they matter. There is a lot that could be done for the residents here and ways the community can get involved and provide opportunities for the residents to help in the community too. Once the outside starts to come and visit more, it will motivate them to want to venture out. The is a home and a community but they need to feel like it is and not see it as a prison or have a feeling of isolation. This isn’t the only senior community around here and I’m sure they all have similar needs, reach out to them and arrest you can do to make them a part of the community and they would love to have anyone visitors become a part of their community as well.

It is a very private place amongst town. Close to shoping. I love to swim in the pool when visiting my mom.

The manager that was working the day cal fresh has their food pantry was discriminating and very rude towards myself and my service dog Ms Marley as i was having a nice conversation with a lady that lived there who was enjoying the love that Ms Marley was giving her. We were rudely interrupted by this obnoxious woman and were told that we had to leave the property immediately. I even clearly stated that she is a service dog. She also had to bring up the fact that she wasn't asking us to leave because of the way the dog looked which in my eyes felt as if she was profiling my dog to be a pitbull which she is not she's an American Bulldog. Two breeds are not related whatsoever which made me feel as I was getting discriminated against not only the fact that I'm a disabled veteran but also that my dog is being looked at as a pitbull which she is not. I was there to help my neighbor bring her food back to the apartments located next door where she lives. We were out front loading up my pull cart when this all took place. And as I mentioned I was having a conversation with the lady that lives there and she was enjoying the love that Marley was giving her. The manager also stood there waiting and ask me again when I was going to be leaving and I said as soon as I get everything loaded and she had to ask me how long will that take which I thought she was being very rude at this point considering the fact that I'm trying to help somebody and also Marley was doing nothing wrong but doing her job and that's to show affection towards people. At that point I started getting a little upset the fact that I've done nothing wrong but I made out to be someone that I am not. She also mentioned at the following month that I will not be able to receive any food or help my neighbor if Marley is with me. What she doesn't understand is that it's like telling someone that doesn't have any legs that's handicap to leave their wheelchair at home or a blind person having to leave their guide dog at home as they fend for themselves out in this world that we live in of rude uneducated obnoxious people. She stayed there until we left and I didn't even get a tie anything down because I felt so uncomfortable with her being there. I almost felt as if she was discriminating against me because I am white Caucasian male with no hair on my head and she was a black lady with too much Authority and didn't know how to present herself in a fashionable way. maybe she thought I was a white supremacist which I am far from because my ex-fiance was black. I don't know what her deal was a day but she was very rude and shouldn't have a job that deals with the public because she was very discriminating. I even offered to show her the paperwork stating that Marley was a service dog and she refused to look at it. Other than that one time I've never had a bad experience with any of the tenants that live there. In fact everyone that Marley has met I showed love and affection towards and it was always brought up that made their day which made me feel good. The all it takes is One Bad Apple to send out a bad Vibe of the entire place. I think her job needs to be questioned in the worst way. What she has on papers one thing but who she is as a person is complete failure if you ask me
