This is the last stop before going underground in the water to Oakland. It's inside the Financial District and few blocks away from the Saleafirce Transit Center and the ferry building. It's also cleaner compared to other stations. The only downside is trains are the most crowded here going Oakland.

They force you to buy a clipper card here if you do not already have a prepurchased ticket to ride.

Worse than Fasttrak. Man claimed to not hear me and messed up applied my funds to wrong pass for next month at that! (too busy talking to his coworker) You can get a refund but it takes 30days and you cant use the clipper card while waiting for the refund. Called clipper to file a complaint was given the run around.

From Embarcadero Station to Pittsburgh/ bay point round trip is $14.40. $13.40 if you have a clipper card.
It's on another platform inside. The Muni entrance is on the same level as the Bart exit, just in the middle of the station.
Catch KT or N from the station on muni and it is only 3 stops
Are you asking how long it will take? About 20 minutes, it's all flat, no hills.
