I get it there are always busy. But being under staff. And the wait time can take up to 3hours or more. But they need to figure out a way to help get people in and out faster.

ive been to there offices many times, back when they were on colorado, they were very quick to get you taken care of. there new location near empire, not so. i preferr the lapine office. the people there move you along as quick as they can, considering the amout of people standing for 2 hours outside just so they get there issues taken care of asap. however seems sensless to open at 930 when the employees are there at 8 am, clocked in just waiting for 930. why not open at 830, thats 25 minutes for computors to warm up, lights on. now im not saying there just sitn drinkn coffee, but even still seems like a waste of tax payer money. and they could have a shorter day, i doubt very much that the emoyees would gryp about that. anyway it would look better in our eyes, if you would improve your image of being on time with the rest of the world. your not a bank, so bankers hours are unacceptable . . it looks really bad when were all outside standing around, when we could be getting our tthings like this out of the way , instead of planing for a half day. . just ask your employees, even they say they need more than 5.5 hours here a week

Friendly enough but have wasted my time on multiple occasions. Recently, I went in to deal with a license suspension but after not knowing how to help I was told to come back the next day. The next day I showed up and again received no help… though I believe this issue stems from the accountability of the city of Bend police.

I have lived in several states and this was by far my best DMV experience ever. All of the employees I met were super friendly and organized. Very impressed!

I need to make a appointment same time on Friday to change a title over to a nother person. Mabel yates
Do I need an appointment to transfer title and Vin inspection of a motor home that I purchased out of state?
No appointment plz bring birth certificate or passport and testing ends at 4pm. You must be called and to the counter by 4pm.
$30 for 20 days, only allowed two permits per 365 day cycle
Yes its $93 for a replacement title if the vehile was previously titled in Oregon. And Form 515
Take what I'd you have into the dmv and they will tell your and give you the right people/places to get it fixed
Handicap placards are for the person not the vehicle. If you have an Oregon ID or License you can have your Dr fill out the DMV form and it will last until your ID or License expires. If you don't have a Oregon license or ID you can still get the Dr fill out the form and get 6 months of handicap privileges.
This can be done online as long as your DL is an Oregon DL and is not expired!
You need to go to the DMV and tell them that you moved from out of state. Make sure to have your title and the vehicle with you when you go there.
All I know is be there 1 hour before they open and get in line. You will get your business done first and quickly
He has to take that into dmv now and then they will issue his legal drivers license
Yes...just walk in..
Your out of state title on the vehicle...and your appointment should include using the Vin number to make sure the numbers match....
Yes, been there twice in the last 2 weeks, no appointment, less than 40 minutes both times.
You should be able to just walk in, all DMV offices are also taking walk in clients now also.
You can walk in in the morning there. Their pretty helpful.
Just wait it out. I've been waiting since February.
Yes, but the temp tag is good for 21 days.
Yes, you do.
Not sure if you can change a place for instance put a plate from your Honda on the new Volvo you just bought. Definitely ask DMV. They have walk in appointments now. Every day except Wednesday
Yes go online and make an appointment
You need an appt plus title signed by person you purchased from your id and Bill of sale. Just go to the website for more info & to make appt
Likely have to make an appointment to retitle the vehicle. Bring the appropriate documents.
You might want to check the dmv website if you haven't yet so, or if you live close enough to the dmv I would just stop by even if they dont let you in since you don't have an appointment they might be able to answer your question and might give you the form to fill it out and get it done.
Yes I know cuz I did the exact same thing
Go to the DMV and request New plates.
I agree with Alex...go about 15 min. early.
You have to schedule an appointment onlinr
Hi. You will need to bring both birth and marriage certificate,
Gotta do it all online right now. They are doing anything but vin inspection, knowledge test, and new license photos at dmv. There's a form to fill out and you fill out the extension form so you don't get charged a fee for any delays covud related. Send it all in with the completed title and a check to the Salem address on the title transfer for. The fees are listed on the website also depending on vehicle. Good luck!
It would help to protect your self
You must make appointment. Things are restricted
Hi Beverly, title tranfer for OREGON and registration application. Hope this helps😁
Download the drivers rule book study and just bring that knowledge. The test is on the computer. Youll need proof of residency and ID i believe as well.
You need to go online and make an appointment.
You would need to contact DMV directly to make an appointment.
Yes, by appt only
Go to Oregon DMV website to make an appointment. I think it was under DMV2U They are only taking appointments. They will call to to set up.
They aren't doing driving tests through the DMV, you have to go through a 3rd party. Driving tests through the DMV have been cancelled until further notice because you cant be 6 ft apart in a car. That's what the DMV was telling people when I was there last Friday renewing my license.
Only by mail at ty his time
Driver test not currently offered but computer based knowledge test is available by appointment only.
Emissions are not required for the Central Oregon area, outside that (like Portland) you'd need to check with them for regulations on it. If you're titling an out of state vehicle I believe the first time, they do require it to be done at the office, due to VIN/Odo checks.
Per ORS 810.070¹ A road authority, on any of its own highways that are located adjacent to a golf course, may permit the operation of golf carts between the golf course and the place where golf carts are parked or stored or located within or bounded by a real estate development. So in short, No, not unless you're on golf course property..
Nope
Yes they take cards, check and cash
Passport, or birth certificate and proof of residency
Can I do this online? It is good until 2026. I do have a xeroxed copy that I made before my trip.
If there is survivorship on the title, at the top in the middle saying Y/N, then yes she can just sign it herself and sell it forward with a copy of the death certificate. If survivorship says N/N, then she has to sign an Inheritance Affidavit saying she is the only heir of his estate. You may need to stop by the front desk at the DMV to get this form. I'm not sure it's available online.
Any out of state titled vehicle needs to be brought in and have a vehicle inspection.
Bringing in the court documentation is the easiest paperwork to bring.
You still need your birth certificate Every time you go in to take the test if you don't have State issued ID. As long as you go to the same office to test again, you don't need the parent signature again, it will be on the application you have on file.
No, the vehicle just has to be registered to stay in Oregon with an Oregon address.
The office would not be able to do anything until the DMV receives the physical title. If you are coming in from out of state and still making payments to the lienholder, you would need to bring the vehicle in for a VIN inspection, and they will give you paperwork to request the title from the lienholder.
Mine was around $200
$112 if you have regular tree plates
It depends on the day and time but a general rule is no later than 3pm.
He cannot register the vehicle without the title. He can only purchase a trip permit for $32 which is good for 3 weeks. He can purchase a maximum of two of these for a total of six weeks of temporary registration until he receives the title.
Yes you will need to take a drive test
Thanks, I was hoping for it to be that easy.😉
Title of the car your ID and money to pay for the registration
No it is not open. A replacement license is $26.
$5 for a permit test. $9 for a drive test.
For Oregon plates? Did you receive a renewal in the mail, if Oregon plates?
DMV is not concerned with whos fault an accident is. That is the insruance job. DMV only wants an accident report to show you had insurance at the time of the accident and other related information.
Not positive, but I believe it is 3pm.
No, you must bring the official document or a certified copy. A photo copy is not accepted.
Mid week, mid day. With the exception of wednesday afternoons.
Yes $93 for a title transfer
Wherever the vehicle is registered you need to call the DMV there and ask them and they'll tell you ...hope you get it worked out ...keep smiling and keep the faith
Birth certificate or passport and proof of address. If you have the correct address on your license and not a po box, your license will work as you can certify he lives with you
Yes
Call or visit your local DMV as soon as possible. Driver's license and learner's permits typically only take two weeks to process.
I would be happy to answer your question, but got question is broken up...
