Great little micro brewery in a cool area of Norfolk. My favorite beer was the Tunnel Traffic but they were all delicious. Friendly staff, clean bathrooms, close to lots of other breweries and restaurants.

Norfolk is becoming a beer town, Not yet like Richmond—which is beer heaven—but it’s on its way. I love Rip Rap Brewing. It’s in a garage and the venue suits its laid back vibe. Every beer I have tasted here is great. From IPAs to seltzers to my personal favorites the Dry Irish Stout and the Schwarztbier. Plus, the prices are reasonable, if you know what I mean. Don’t miss this Norfolk gem.

I highly recommend this place. Rip Rap was a very nice brewery which presented a much different experience than normal. A very relaxed atmosphere with plenty of seating for the day we went. All inside seating, unfortunately no food or food truck on site. However, they had all sorts of games available to play and cheap merchandise. Will be returning here in the near future
