It's free (which is always great), has a huge collection from all different styles and times, and is very nice inside. You will find something you love here no matter who you are. It's not pretentious, it's very welcoming.

I love Art of Yoga classes on Tuesday mornings. Chrysler museum has an amazing collection. It’s nice to look at it and enjoy, but it’s very special to lay on the floor, barefoot, and look up at the paintings from your mat.

Hi Hope, yes, we do. You can borrow one during your visit.
They're real easy-going about strollers, bags, cameras, etc. They often don't have "stand-behind" lines, so we have to be careful about keeping small hands out of reach of the paintings, sculptures, and all that glass. The docents are helpful without often making you feel stalked.
Yes, they've let me bring large-ish purses in. They ask that you not bring umbrellas in unless you keep them in a bag or purse, but they have a place where you can check the umbrellas, like a coat check, if you need it.
The glass museum is a separate building although right next door. I recommend a phone call.
It is not a regular course. I agree, it is best to call or check the website.
