Absolutely fantastic restaurant! Best Indian cuisine in town. The food is incredible. Lunch is definitely a better bang for your buck, but dinner is still totally worth it! Always fresh food and good service. Great option for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free diet restrictions. My friend has celiac disease and as long as she orders her meal gluten free she's never been sick from eating here. Also, probably the best vegetarian food in existence!

Outstanding Indian food, best in Richmond. Flavorful, fresh, and plentiful. The staff are professional more than personable, but they are very attentive. Some very tasty highlights for us are the Saffron Chicken, Chettinad (pick your protein), and Chili Paneer. Not sure why/how there are low ratings in the reviews. Maybe expectations weren't aligned, but in our experience, this place is where's it's at if you want quality, authentic Indian in the Richmond area.

Wow! What a pleasant surprise! Years ago I tried eating Indian food in a restaurant, but had a bad experience. It wasn’t until a friend told me about this place Anokha that I decided to give dining in an Indian restaurant another chance. I was pleasantly surprised! I enjoyed my food so much that I forgot to take pictures of it. I ordered the Tandoori Platter and Seafood Goan Curry with Shrimp. I also at a thick lentil soup, and my dessert was a rice pudding. Not only was the food amazing, the staff was so friendly and gave great service. I can’t wait to come back to try something else. I love this restaurant!

This place never disappoints! It is clean and very well set up and decorated. The ambiance is to die for! The food comes out quick and hot! I ordered the seafood Goan curry and loved every bite of it. The mango mojito is thirst quenching and just right!

No worries. Sufficient spacing, everyone is wearing masks. I didnt have a concern.
You can certainly ask.
While Indian food is normally not cooked in peanut oil, the restaurant may not follow strict peanut protocol in using peanut products. Best call them and ask to speak with the manager.
