I am in a neck brace, just had spinal fusion surgery, or I would not complain about this. The store is clearly short staffed, which I as a manager myself, I definitely understand. However, what looked to be 4 managers were standing in a circle in the middle aisle chit chatting and leaning on a cart. They were doing that, instead of helping out the front end, where I had to bag my own groceries at check out 16. It's a standard check out line with a cashier (who did her job great and was pleasant) and typically should have someone at the end to bag groceries. The managers tried to say someone else should have come from another register to help me. The other cashiers were busy doing their jobs, checking out other customers. Now maybe the cashier I had should have helped bag my things, but I find it a blight on the Kroger name that 4 managers were standing around running their mouths instead of assisting a short staffed shift. This isn't Walmart. It's Kroger. Also, one of the managers actually asked me if I was at a self check out expecting to get help bagging my things. That felt kind of condescending, like that guy was making me out to be a "Karen".

Come to this Kroger if you want to lose your will to live. We came on a weekday mid morning, when the store wasn't busy, to find the lines for the registers were 4 or 5 people long. The person behind the cash register that we encountered (Tara) was also unbelievably slow and rude. I dont care if you don't smile or acknowledge us at all - but you can't admonish us for our 'patience' simply for trying to pick up our bags, especially after we spent 15 minutes waiting to make our purchases.

Main reason I shop kroger is the coupons they send, otherwise I am not overly fond of this organization. I dont like the shorter aisles and I most definetly find the overabundance of workers blocking the aisles during the day frustrating. The sales usually require to buy numerous items to achieve the savings as well. Prices run a little on the high side. Kroger is highly overrated.

Mostly only go here for the Pharmacy and small odds and ends while I wait for my prescriptions. Most everyone is pretty kind and patient, though this last time (4/29) I was helped in the Pharmacy by a woman who seemed like she'd rather not be there. Which is fine. I get it. I work customer service too. But I mentioned I had called my doctor 7 times without luck getting through in an effort to correct a problem with my prescription that the Pharmacy was refusing me, and she was pretty snarky about it. She responded with, "Well maybe they're short staffed like we are." Okay? Yeah, probably, but I wasn't being rude or demanding, so why make me feel like I'm an ignorant monster for it? I literally only informed her that I had already tried calling my doctor to resolve the problem, had called many times, but was not able to get through to anyone. So I asked if I could get a few pills out of pocket to help while I wait for a call back. She treated me like I was being inconsiderate. Gave attitude when I asked if I could purchase some out of pocket, and basically told me she couldn't help. So I left without a fuss and that was that. But I kind of hope I never deal with her again.
