Neat place. A little strange to get to but is typical riverside setting with lots of historical markers.

The wooded trail along the waterfront abruptly ended and the trail continued over rocky roads and a bridge with high speed traffic. Not dog or human friendly! Poorly marked. We had our dog and someone yelled at us that dogs are not allowed on a portion of the trail. I was very disappointed. I would not recommend this trail unless you enjoy walking around slums and on a lot of concrete.

I had to come represent for my ancestors. Where is my 40acres and a mule/now I want a horse??? It's sad they had to run just to live, I'm so very sad😔 I can't believe this was life for African Americans. Thank you Harriet Tubman for your bravery🤗🇺🇸✊🏾 =FloridaGirl🍊

Incredibly important piece of history. Highly recommend this if you're in Richmond. The beginning and end were easy to follow, the middle was a bit difficult. The half on the river was a nice hike with insightful information.
