A great place to take in the view of the greater Los Angeles area. It is a small parking area off Mulholland Drive in the Santa Monica Mountains above the Hollywood Bowl. It can only be accessed from the eastbound lane. There are a flight of stairs up a knoll to a viewing area that provides views from the mountains to the sea and Santa Catalina Island on a clear day. No public restrooms available there.

I love this view but the day/night I went they had extra patrolman or police patrolling the park for some reason I never seen that before. Maybe because the Hollywood bowl was having a performance. You could see clear down to it the bowl as if you are attending. They wouldn't let us Park in since they were closing but there is some off side of the road slots where you can park for a minute.

This spot is the best of them all. You get a great view of the entire downtown LA skyline and the suburbs of beverly hills. Night time is best to go as it is lit up very nicely.

It's not the best view, but you can see it when you go to the very top. Theres a closer/clearer/ better view of it...

But just outside the gate in the next curve you have almost the same view of the Hollywood sign - 24 hours...
Oh that's a shame. I was hoping to see the lights of the city at night.
The only places to park are in the small lot and illegally on the side of Mulholland down the hill a bit
Yes of course, you can see it without a telescope, and actually it will be in a very nice lil size. You can take pic with any regular phone and it will be seen
