Been riding there for over 25 years- fun hiking & backcountry zones... So off the beaten path... Great for the family- fun to go hike if we have enough snow-

Nice hike, I loved it. It's especially beautiful when there's snow. Make sure to take a hat enough water and power bars. The lifts weren't open then obviously but hopefully they will since we've had plenty of snow in lower elevations. Thank yoh to the owner that let us use his clean restrooms.

I'm not sure. Last week yes
Once you go up the Angeles Crest Highway #2 you have to take the left at the Palmdale turn on and follow that all the way to "Big"Tujunga Canyon, take a right, back up to Angeles Crest Hwy #2, take a left up to Newcomb's Ranch(Food, ect), keep going 5 more miles to Mt Waterman!!!
Best way is to use Google Maps.
Well.... since you live in a Time Warp and missed out on Halloween Thanksgiving Christmas, go right away as soon as you wake up...lol....only open on the weekend...might be better to go to Bear Mt in BB or wait till 4th of July and ski the last day of the season in Mammoth?!!!
About 9” at the base as of Friday night, more the higher you go!
I'd wager they're not open. They have no snowmaking ability so with the little to no rain we've had there is probably no snow.
For hiking (up the dirt road or hiking trail: yes. On the lift: no. Please keep dogs on leash and use caution when the area is open for skiing.
Yes, people hike or skin up then ride down regularly when there is enough snow. Now is a pretty decent time to give it a go, the last storm brought enough snow to make it possible and fun, however rocks and plants are still poking through various spots so keep a close eye out for hazards.
