Maggie Hathaway Golf Course

The first thing I have to say is the staff at the Maggie Hathaway Golf Course is A-OK. They are hands down the best thing about this course. The course itself is excellent. The longest hole is 130, but there are a few 120+ holes. The greens can use a little better maintenance, they were covered with some weed that makes it hard to putt because it makes the surface uneven. Besides that it's a great little course to work on your iron game. They have a great putting practice green, a practice bunker, and a practice chipping flag. The driving range is cool too. They give you a free bottle of water with a round of golf which is needed during these hot summer days. I would definitely play here again.

I love this place for practicing and just hitting shots. The elevated greens makes it easy and challenging to execute shots with my 56 and 60 wedges. The greens are so small that it's target practice to hit them on holes 1,2,3 a tree protected 4 and sand protected 8th hole.

If I could add another star I would. Best place to play golf as a beginner in LA by far. Amazing prices. Beyond friendly staff. Complimentary water with your game. No crowds, no waiting. Great views of the planes landing in LAX Sure the grass isn’t in perfect condition but you can’t beat the value for money.
