Working with Tara completely transformed my relationship with food. When I contacted her, I was at a point in which food controlled my thoughts, determined a lot of my days' plans, and, frankly, wasn't something I was comfortable speaking about with anyone. She quickly gained my trust and met me where I was in building a plan that felt achievable. More important to me than the plan were the weekly conversations we had about the week's challenges and realizations I'd made around eating. Tara is compassionate and kind while also challenging some of my deep-seated thoughts about myself and my behavior around food -- often encouraging me to experiment, try something new, and collect data points to better inform my future decisions. In this, I developed the tools and confidence I'd always hoped to have around eating. I first worked with Tara for 6 months, and recently returned for a few sessions to reevaluate my habits and adjust to changes in my life. I look forward to continuing to lean on her expertise in years to come, and cannot recommend working with her more highly.

I got my first meal plan from Tara in 2006, I think?! Over the years she has helped me appreciate the value in moderation and taught me how to have a healthy relationship with food. I love learning from her both in phone calls, her online courses, and even just keeping up with her blogs and social media posts. She’s an inspiration to me and is the real deal. She cares about her clients very much and will really *listen* to what we are saying. I have referred many folks to Tara through the years and everyone has always been so grateful! I highly recommend!

I obsessed over food my whole life until I met Tara Coleman. I went to her originally to help me shed the 5-10 lbs I was stressing over in preparation for my wedding. What Tara taught me instead was how to become confident around food and start living my life. I am happier in my body now more than ever, and it is because of Tara's support. I am so thankful for her. My next step is to bring her scalable online program into my company so my colleagues can benefit from her support and expertise as well so we can all flourish.

Questions & Answers

Do they speak Spanish in that place? Have you already visited it? What's up?

I'm sorry but I don't speak Spanish well. Generally, dietitians in hospitals will be bilingual. I would start there.

My son and I were subscribed methylated "B" vitamins for defects relating to MTHFR, MTRR, MTR, etc. We also have CBS defects. I just learned that methylcobalamine and methyl-folate make symptoms a CBS defect worse! What do you recommend?

Hi E Shapiro - Thank you for reaching out! I would go to the doctor that is doing your genetic testing and voice your concerns. There are different types of genetic mutations/defects that can warrant different treatment. It may not be as bad as you think - but I would start with the practitioner in charge of your testing. I hope that helps!
