An absolutely lovely place. Very quiet and calm, and the showers are great. The water is very clean, and all the rangers are friendly! The town nearby has lovely people and great food as well (not to mention all the cute dogs!)

Beautiful campground, most sites are tent inmu but there are some that are set up primarily for RV. Trails close by and bathrooms are some of the cleanest and we'll stocked I have come across in campgrounds. Very family friendly.

Great camping, clean sites with clean bathrooms (including flush toilets and showers). It's nice that the town is close by in case you forget something. The locals love to walk through the park, so you'll see them on the main road through the campground.

No, must pay for hiking or camping The fees posted at entrance Pay online, at cashier or self pay. This park is nice and relies on fees to the county of Riverside to keep running. Many people working there are local volunteers supporting the park.
Yes, but check online to make sure campsites are available during popular dates. If you drive up for the day there is a sign showing the fees, which sites are not reserved and a self pay station. If there is no staff or host use the self pay. if you do not have cash fill out the envelope and write your cell # so they can call you to take payment by card.
No
You still pay to get into the park,....tjey have 4 handicap parking spaces close to the bathroom. Also,...in town, the spaces are all free. Have fun

You can call for idywild campground 951-659-2607 or RivCoParks.org
No lake. Not many at all you can swim in. Bunch you can picnic at though.
Lake Fulmor is 10 miles from Idyllwild County Park. Stop at Mt San Jacinto Ranger station for a permit to fish and park
Still no one answered the question. The question was HOW FAR (ie: half mile walking, can drive etc)
Yes we called before we went and the lady that works here was very very helpful

No, currently only roads open are access through Palm Desert 74, or the 79 at Temecula transitioning to the 371 Anza. The dirt road is an old fire road and it is not accessible at this time. Check Caltrans for correct info.
No. Idyllwild is at 5000 ft. Snow is seasonal. Check NOAA for current conditions
The village community center is under construction. Idyllwild County Park has 200 acres of hiking, camping, a Nature Center and picnic areas. There is a fee to enter the park
Yes. There are walk up reservations
Give the reservation line a call and stay up to date with fire updates. No damage to idy park this far
No, the spots with electrical are for camp hosts and are always occupied. There is no dump station at this campground. Dry camping only
how long is the south ridge trail hike?
Check local weather through NOAA. There is never a guarantee of snowfall as Idyllwild is at 5000 ft. as of January 1, 2020 the last snowfall is beginning to melt in the park. the park does charge extra for Snowplay days. $10.00 per adult and $5.00 per child. pets allowed at $2.00 but must remain on leash and you must pick up pet waste If there is snow, check CalTrans for info on roads and chain requirements.
The campsites are very large. So they can accomodate large RV's. BUT the biggest issue is the elevations of the sites. They are not level at all. The park does not maintain them to grade.
