I went to this clinic wanting to try Scripps out after being a Sharp patient for over ten years. After a single visit to a dermatologist here, I was treated like a money pinata and given a surprise bill of ~$750 for a procedure I 100% did not need that left a large scar in the middle of my stomach. I tried to call and protest this insane bill, but nobody worked with me, nor cared. I won't be giving them any more of my money, I'm going back to Sharp.

It’s a nightmare to ask for the refill of your prescription. Every month I have to go through 5 calls to be able to get my prescription and every time getting wrong information. Definitely will change my doctor!

The OBGYN department there has the rudest check-in staff. I can hear everything they're saying about other patients, making awful remarks. Not to mention the use of bad language. Where do you find these people? Also, anytime I schedule an appt with the OBGYN specialist, it's always at least a month wait. Note to patients: if you're having symptoms, don't get a referral here unless you're prepared to wait a whole month and deal with your pain. The scheduling department always makes mistakes. I schedule appointments, then ask for time off with work, and then they call me back saying "oh never mind, this doctor can't see you for this issue". I've had this happen three times already in the last 3 months. The nurse should be doing the scheduling in this case, not a PSR. Also, some departments want to scan your IDs and some don’t. This scanning of IDs is completely unnecessary and I would appreciate if the staff stop doing so without my knowledge. None of the Scripps locations are scanning my ID. Why is CV location doing it? I caught one employee wanting to scan it when I showed her my ID, and she didn’t ask my permission before doing so. Thankfully I stopped her, but she should have informed me of the purpose for handling my personal information.

The Scripps Clinic Carmel Valley/Del Mar is an amazing team. I took my 2 boys to get their flu vaccine (with appointment) on a Saturday morning and they offered a logistically perfect drive through vaccination service. We were in and out in less than 10 minutes. The team was caring, professional, kind and effective. This is an amazing service and we appreciate you keeping us healthy and safe! Kudos to all of you and Thank You! You Rock!

Scripps Clinic Carmel Valley | Aug 25, 2021

Scripps is offering the COVID-19 vaccine to eligible patients with a MyScripps account. We have a limited supply available at this time, so appointments are being offered on a first-come, first-served basis through MyScripps. Eligibility is based on California state guidelines. Additional appointment slots will be added as more vaccines become available. Please do not call your physician’s office as they cannot schedule these vaccines.

I don't think you can in the surgical center, but there might be an urgent care center where you can. Best idea is to call first.
