We had an amazing birthday party at skate world! They took care of everything and made sure we were well taken care of. We are SO stoked skateworld is still in business and highly recommend having your next party there!!

A great value for great fun with some room for improvements Price: $15 bucks and it includes skate rental so that's pretty amazing value. Location: really out of the way and parking is a nightmare. Only a few parking spaces and it's actually really hard to exit after parking as the lot entrance and exit is located near the front but no where to turn around. Activities: skating of course, blades and wheels, or bring your own. A few arcade machines, they would really benifit from some more space and more machines. They do have a fuseball table, great fun there. Date night: they actually have couples only adults only skate time. Great for a date and time with out kids. Food: pizza is oddly delicious, despite looking stale all there food was decent and low priced allowing you to splurge on snacks and treats for the kids, and they have tons of candy options. Dinning: Standard party tables and benches. And staff does come and clean up pretty regularly. They do have a party room which is just several reservation tables. Amenities: they do have a skate shop, lockers, and great atmosphere with lights and effects. They also provide skate walkers to help guide newbies The bad stuff: staff are super overworked and it shows. The rentals skates are old and need replacing. The dj is only there part time and is often just a Playlist which leads to slow R&B songs played on open skate. Slow song kinda kill the vibe of fun party time. They charge full soda price for a cup for water from the fountain as a policy that needs to stop like right away. Overall: really great affordable time and should be a weekly destination for families or dates as it's really inexpensive, great activity and tons of fun. Biggest issue is just location and parking.

We had a party there, it was setup nicely but lacked on a few details. The food wasn't served at the same time, we had a pizza come first and about 10 mins later the other with our salad. The slices weren't cut correctly and when I asked for a pizza cutter they brought me a spatula to serve. The kids and adults had a great time! They had music hits from the 90s that I enjoyed and new stuff the kids sang along to. Over all I would definitely go back and recommend it to others.

Yes, no plans on closing anytime soon.
Yes but the city is selling the property and they are going to have to close soon. There's a petition going around to save Skateworld, I'm sure they would appreciate you signing it. This is truly a special place in San Diego and my heart breaks thinking it might not be around for much longer.
Yes it is....the schedule is up on their website page or instagram page too ....they just resurfaced the floor so it is really in good smooth condition...tomorrow night is also adult night from 8to 11pm ....good music and 18+ skating.
Cost is $10.00 for skating and $4.00 for rentals
Yes It's best to contact them. I'm so glad that we still have a place to skate.
Yes, they will have her size. My kids had a lot of fun and they have something with wheels they rent for $5 to hold on to if unsure since it's super slippery. My kids fell a couple of times if she doesn't have knee pads I would encourage you to get some. Hope you guys have a blast !! My kids did.
Yes. They have a shop with rollerskates, pads, wheels and similar. You can also rent rollerskates or rollerblades for day use on site.
Yes you can bring either roller skates aka quad skates or inline skates most people use quad skates. And skate rental is $4 or a total of about 15 with tax. There are different open skates on Tuesday nights from 8 p.m. till 11 p.m. is an adult-only skate where you must be 16 or older the rest of the time it's open to all ages.
Days and hours of operation are listed on their website and you can also prepurchase tickets online
There is a website and there is a day that they do training for skaters but I don't know if it's private there might be a few other people there but all the information is on the website
They are still open for business. They have a shop where you can buy Wheels and parts. I would suggest getting them on Amazon cuz they're a lot cheaper. I believe they have someone who knows how to install and repair on-site during business hours.
So you can rent, bring your own and also buy skates there.
Nope it's still available for the kids to enjoy because of the support of the communities help !!!!! We don't need another target store .....we have a rite aid that gets ripped off all the time sorry to say .....but it's true and sad.keep skating.
They're not closing! Don't worry just go and skate. The city council ruled in favor of Skateworld. This means the whole process starts again, and they will have a chance this time to make the acquisition.
The sign says no roller blades but these days who follows directions ? I see people there with scooters and your not supposed to be riding those or bikes...... Just go have fun.
Yes you can push someone in a wheelchair on the floor. Just be safe.
The owner said they have a monthly membership $50 unlimited public skate sessions
$10 to get in and $4 for rental skates
No
There is on tuesday night (adult skate), and sometimes on saturday night (depending on the crowd).
It doesn't seem like a profit based company.
is that their responsibility?
Yes, you can bring your child. Not sure on sizes that small. You may want to call ahead.
It went away around the time they demolished KCBQ Radio across the street.
Varies by day and time. Will have to check their website.
Forgot what the other prices are, but Wednesday nights it is $5 with skate rental. That is the only time we go. I think it is like $14 most of the other times with skate rental
You will have to call the business
We go on Wednesday evenings and it's $5 including skate rental. But I think we've got other days and I think it's $12 $10 admission and $2 for the skate rental although I'm not positive
Did you call them?
