They never replied back to my emails/voicemails/calls. I applied around May/June in regards to a slight problem with the application. I paid the application fee and they took the money and were silent after. Very disappointed and are looking elsewhere. Don't even bother waiting for a response back from them.

The complex is relatively nice compared to others in its vicinity, aesthetically. That is mostly due to it being newer and less than 5yrs old. This place is 2 stars due to the tenants that live here and general property management. A large swath thinking that since you live in a shared environment, that you should just deal with lack consideration and poor behavior. We all sign leases that dictate expected behavior from noise, to pets, to parking, garbage, etc. There are many that do not believe rules and expectations apply to them. Gross breezeways with trash stains, loose trash and rampant littering, dogs barking all day and night. People building furniture at 11pm or 7am hammering, singing and playing instruments on their deck at 2am, etc. I have to believe building 17 might be the worst. There is another review from the 17014 tenant that indicated this. Furman football players allowed to be noise disturbances in early morning hours, parties on weekdays with concert level music , etc. above that person’s apt. Bunch of entitled rich kids that take no responsibility for their actions. Additionally walking around knocking on doors to root out who called the courtesy officer on them at 2am (they went to doors of other tenants at 2am!). This went on for over a year. Office does near nothing to curb behavior. It takes so many strikes for something negative to happen it is crazy. An example being smokers (non smoking property with $1k fines per instance) persisting in violating the rules caught and/or reported many times over 3 years with little to no enforcement. Rules for garbage not followed leading to loose trash flowing through the breezeway, disgusting stains on the floors/breezeway moldings, and still little to no enforcement. Where staff used to pickup trash/litter pre and early pandemic around the property, you can walkthrough it and litter is everywhere. Staff drive right by in their golf carts. The routines have definitely changed and not for the better. Some retirements of maintenance staff seemed to have led to this decline. Not all this on them, because the tenants and their guests are to blame for it existing in the first place. New renters beware of getting an apartment from someone who had pets previously. They cleaned the carpet for a new tenant in bldg 17 before move in, had to try to clean it again after they moved in, and eventually replaced it and painted because the smell was so terrible. How would that have passed move-in inspection lol? Most of the dog owners suck at this place and have very vocal pets that are relatively aggressive in behavior. Dogs being off leash by building 16 and 17 is a norm, repeat offenders witnessed by maintenance and office staff with no repercussions. I have been chased or jumped by a dog ~4 times in 2021 alone either on the property or on the through road they own. Quality in construction in flooring is questionable sound-wise. Older apartments typically are better for sound proofing and this complex fails when it comes to the floor/ceiling part of that. The walls are decent however. In any decent construction you should not be able to hear people walking barefoot in their apartment below you, literally crazy. Spring loaded entry doors in a an enclosed breezeway complex was a moronic idea. All you hear is the cacophony of doors slamming throughout the day and evening hours that echo like you are in a cave. Dogs left to bark all day/night are made much worse by these same sound dynamics.
