Stayed here over the 4th of July weekend. Here are pros and cons from my perspective. Pros: The bar on a Friday night was popping (awesome). DJ played great music/old school jams (R&B), nice crowd, drink was pretty good. It was wet outside, otherwise would have been sweet to be able to sit outside. Great location - some good options of various places to walk to (restaurants, shopping, etc). We never had to use our car the entire stay, 3 nights. Very spacious room. I reserved King room with separate living and sleeping areas. In my opinion, those are the better option when it comes to hotels (separate living space) . Front desk staff encountered were all friendly and polite. Cons: There is a small kitchen area with a sink: would be good if paper towels were available to wash hands at sink. Noticed a few ants on the bathroom window sill Friday night. Got them up with tissue. The last night I was there in bed, I felt something crawling on my shoulder area. It was an ant. The next morning I woke up, I had two bites near my armpit/ shoulder. Guess the ant got me before I killed it. The blinds are controlled by remote. However, they do not go all the way down (no proper blackout). It leaves about a good 1/2 inch of space in which light comes through. There is a lack of storage for clothes. No drawers to store clothes. Having one actually in the bedroom would be great. Although we were on the 9th floor, oddly you could hear noise from street level. I didn't like how one light switch controlled the bathroom vanity area, the shower area and the toilet area. All three of these spaces are separated. Also, the bar tab comes with sales tax and alcohol tax (I think it was those two) but to me, it was excessive. Also, had a parking warning because out car was backed into a space. Guess this is a SC law but we were not aware and nowhere in the parking garage did we see anything noting not to back in. Thankfully we just got a warning and it's nothing we had to pay. Maybe the person that gave the ticket saw we were from out of state and gave the warning. But this would be nice to have signs up that backing in is not allowed or front desk can alert upon check-in. If half stars were allowed, I'd give 3.5.

Great Hotel stop, in a wonderful city, Greenville, SC. In the middle of a road trip. Had an OUTSTANDING opportunity before stopping @ The Aloft in Greenville to visit MAMA BILLIES BEACH CLUB @ Lake Lanier Island Resort in Buford, GA. I think we need more Road Trips. Met some great people, great food, good entertainment, very relaxing. Gotta do this more!

Positive: I loved the modern and clean feel¿ the lobby area was cool! The staff was awesome and helpful and cheery! The decor was my favorite!! Loved the ¿dog theme¿ and pool area too! I also loved the Mountain View outside our room window! Shades were coo Negative: I didn¿t like that wasn¿t a restaurant¿ just a bar. I didn¿t like the building view in front of us but then again we were smack dab in the middle of the city

In the past, we have stayed at this hotel with absolutely no complaints. For my 30th birthday, we decided we were going to book this hotel again for our upcoming stay in Greenville and booked a month in advance. We arrived in Greenville early and knew check in wasn’t until 4, however I called at 1pm to see if by chance a room was available and we could check in early but was told by the front desk representative to call back around 3:30. We proceeded to go to different locations downtown and called back at 4 to verbally check in since we were hanging out with friends a couple blocks away. My husband asked if we needed to come and physically check in but the front desk said it was no problem. We went back to get our suitcases before dinner and went to the lobby only to be told that they were over capacity and did not have a room available for us. They informed us the only hotel available was 20 minutes away. In disbelief, we explained how we had already checked in and we were told “sorry, we will refund your money back.” We were two hours from home, in a different state, celebrating my 30th birthday only to have no place to stay. We will never be staying in this hotel again due to poor customer service and terrible experience.

Questions & Answers

Is the pool open year round? Specifically the last week in March.

I'd give them a call, and ask for the specific weekend you're going to be there. I went a few weeks ago and it was open, they said it was heated as well. Still, go ahead and call and ask for your specific weekend if it matters to you

Yes. The deck is attached to the hotel and has plenty of spaces. I recommend going towards the top and parking near the entrance to the WXYZ Lounge. The check-in desk is there too.
