Covid really helped businesses improve their patient services. I used to dread appointments at Kaiser because it was a rat race of assembly line of care. Well, patient care has changed. Who wants another app? The Kp app is quite impressive. It is easy to navigate to schedule appointments, alternative doctor's are listed, alternative locations and times are available if your primary provider is not, you can leave messages to anyone and someone returns a response within the day to make sure you are properly connected. I scheduled an office visit primary appointment at midnight for the same day, I was able to complete blood work as a walk-in and only waited 4 minutes. I was then was able to email additional messages to my primary provider for additional requests, while waiting, and all of this in 37 minutes total time. What a difference! This is what appointments + patient care should represent. My appointment was at 930. There are several patient care choices at this small facility location. Yet, you can get care in a comfortable manner. Parking was easy, the building is only two floors, and as expected clean and neat. Every employee I encountered (5 total), including the custodian was pleasant and assisted me with answers and a smile instead of grunts and shoulder shrugs. Dr.Capristano and his staff were exceptional and explained without rushing. Thank you. I'm considered extremely healthy so perhaps for someone in my circumstance, Pt. Loma meets the needs. And I hope if you are not in the best health you have the same exemplary experience.

Flu shots with excellent drive-thru service! This was such a great experience! Who knew getting a flu shot could almost be fun? Wait. It WAS fun! It was also clean, safe, fast, efficient with warm, caring, friendly staff. Even my elderly mother loved the experience. I hope Kaiser keeps the drive-thru flu shots even after COVID-19. Thank you to everyone at Kaiser for all you do. We appreciate you!

I've been enrolled in Kaiser for 40 years and I've been very happy with it for the most part. I've only been attended to by a few rude people during that time and many have been exceptional. I had a brain surgery that cost $100,000 or 200,000 (can't remember) and I only paid $50 for it! I was working at SDSU at the time and had top of the line coverage. One of the neurosurgeons was a nice fellow but he really jerked me around. Nonetheless I have been to many of their departments (surgery, physical therapy, X-ray, Cat-scan, psychiatry, and many others) and my care was competent the majority of the time.
