Can't believe I missed this gem after years of being here. Cleanest beach I've been to around the area. Small, but very do-able with my young one. $5 to park, if you don't feel like paying you can park further down the street. Clear water, and kid friendly.

A very small area on a point near the natural springs just off the Crystal River, this park offers a small sandy swimming area in pristine 72° spring water. A pay to park place with limited number of parking places, and a pay to launch paddling vessels only access ramp adjacent to the swimming area. Often observe commercial river tours in this area of the river. Beautiful natural landscaping, seagrasses and water restoration in progress nearby, and the opportunity to see manatees in their natural habitat, along with observing all the other wonderful wildlife available in watershed estuaries makes tjis park the perfect location for a quick visit. A delightful frolic in that cool water on a hot spring day is just what I needed! Enjoy the Nature Coast! It is the last nearly natural wilderness in Florida.

We started out of Hunter Springs park. Very quaint park with beach and kayak launch. Parking is $5 and $5 per kayak launch fee. All must be paid by credit card. The bathroom was gross but usable. We started at 8am and the kayak traffic was intense. Headed over to 3 Sisters Springs and between pontoon boats and other kayaks I felt like I was racing in the Daytona 500. It was a brief kayak but got my paddle on. Oh did see a few Manatees but everyone was hovering around them.

This is the closest park to launch your kayak for Three Sisters Springs. This is a small park as far as parking goes, but it is very well maintained. It costs $5 to park and $5 per vessel (kayak) that we launched. You pay the park meter through a machine and it took debit/credit cards. Great spot to launch our kayak they also have a small beach area for swimming.

No only to park in the parking lot its 5 a day but there's free parking 2 blocks away.
Yes it is free to swim and snorkel with your own gear, if you park at the spring you will have to pay for parking, but there is plenty of free parking a short walk away
It is. It's a spring so its roughly btw 72 and 74 degrees year round.
Great fun
Me and the family just recently moved here to Crystal River and we have on found one beach that white sand and that is Hunter Springs. It very small but a great place for seeing the manatees. The real beach is an hour and a half away in Clearwater Fl.
