Holiday Inn Express Crystal River, an IHG Hotel

Room floors were disgustingly dirty. This hotel doesn't have the toiletries that you find in other locations. Feel bad for the only 2 cleaners as you see them constantly having to run down to 1st floor for supplies and such. TV in 218 kept flickering and losing signal. Our bed cover was dirty and uncomfortable. The pillows that said firm were flat. The staff was amazing. Breakfast was the worst. Only thing edible was the fruit, it's bad when the kids don't want to eat it. Great location. All in all, not a game changer just expected better for an IHG. Staff was the only redeemable attribute of this location.

I don't normally leave reviews and I normally am disappointed with most hotels we stay at. But this one was exceptional! It was SO clean! The staff were wonderful and the breakfast was great! I would highly recommend this place!

The beds are comfy! The rooms were really nice and clean. The breakfast were good every day except they need to put more scrambled eggs out and then change out the pan when they change out the eggs! They had hot chocolate for kids and plenty of coffee and tea. They also have a variety of juices and I love that the little crystal glasses for the juices were not huge size but more like a 4 oz cup. They have pancakes and waffles and baked goods at every breakfast. The breakfast area is nice spread out. The pool is heated and they have also have a workout room plus a computer station if you did not bring a laptop with you. The hotel stamp is helpful and very nice! It's a high quality hotel!

The hotel overall was nice. We stayed in their big suite on the 3rd floor. 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, fits 6 people. Nothing was wrong with it as far as cleanliness. We are IHG members and go to this chain a lot all year long. There were little touches that we missed, things we noticed that other holiday inns normally have. Maybe this one doesn't do that, maybe they were out of stuff, or maybe they just forgot our room. Nothing to make or break the stay just the small things that make a stay more hospitable. For example, there was no lotion, shower cap, or make up remover in the bathroom. There was no kleenex to be found in the room, the TV was really hard to use and there was no list of channels or directions on how to use it. Being a huge tourist town, it would have been nice to have one of those binders with local attractions, restaurants near by, things like that. Like I said, nothing to make us not stay again, just the small things that make frequent members like us compare to the other Holiday Inns across the country! I think we would stay again 😊
