We finally made it to McKinney Falls. We love it here. There are trails everywhere and plenty of shade. Lots of mature oaks surround your camping spot complete with table, tent pad, fire grill/pit, and water and electric. The facilities are adequate and clean. The kids loved swimming and jumping into the upper and lower falls. They also enjoyed line dancing classes. You're close to all Austin attractions of you feel the need to leave the park or need to run to the store.

I love this state park. 💞 I have been coming to hike and am exploring the trails. 🚶♀️ Love what I have seen so far. Onion Creek trail is kind of paved so it's a very easy walk. The Picnic trail is nice and short and it goes to the lower falls if you care to go for a swim. They have lots of picnic tables with water close by and a grill to have a great picnic or cook out. They also have campsites and cabins. It is a must visit if you like parks and camping. 😊

So awesome having a state park this close to Austin! But since it is, be ready for lines during the summer and on weekends. Everyone enjoys the falls, but there are miles of trails past the lower falls and mostly shaded. Campsites a nice and shaded too. Some offer good privacy and nice views out your RV or tent. Great for fishing, and there are even paved trails. All-in-all a great park. And 6 minutes from South Austin, who could ask for more?

Beautiful place to visit. It was $6 dollars to get in during my visit. The staff working were very friendly and informative. Lots of trails for beginners to intermediate. The trails along the water are beautiful. There are also plenty of places to park and walk a short distance to see the falls. There are a lot of maps and well marked trails so you won't get lost. The bathrooms were really clean and plenty of them! Seriously recommend if you're a nature lover.

Yes they allow and welcome all floats and tubes...

Yes. Just follow the Texas guidelines that are online.
I went with my daughter and she used a carrier. Easier to get around with a carrier.
Yes, they are animal friendly. Just bring poop bags to pick up behind them.
Yes. They have 30 Amps and 50 Amps. They do not have full hook up site but do have a dump station.
