I've been going to Dr Santana for over 10 years. She is a caring and excellent Dentist. I drive from Derry for her to take care of me. Ive had numerous fillings and the equipment there is always top notch. The office is also lovely.

I always have a great experience when I go to the dentist. The receptionists are very friendly; hygienist are extremely informative, polite and gentle; and Dr.Santana is by far the most gentle and kind dentist I've experienced. She's not one who is all about making money and pulling teeth. She gives it to you straight yet respectfully and explores all options to keep your oral health tip-top. This whole team is just really friendly and has a relaxing and calming effect which is so important when going to the dentist for many people!

Questions & Answers

What causes periodontal disease?

Bay Breeze Dentistry | Dec 27, 2021
Bay Breeze Dentistry | Dec 27, 2021

Poor oral hygiene. But more specifically, plaque is the primary cause of periodontal disease. Plaque is a buildup of harmful bacteria and acids. When this plaque isn't removed due to poor oral hygiene and/or avoiding professional dental cleanings, it hardens and turns into calculus. This causes gingivitis, an irritation and inflammation of your gums. If left untreated, gingivitis turns into periodontitis, causing pockets between your teeth and gums that fill with bacteria. What are the consequences of missing teeth?

Bay Breeze Dentistry | Dec 27, 2021

Missing one tooth, let alone more, can cause a host of problems. This includes difficulty chewing, speech impairment, bite changes, jaw pain, adjacent teeth shifting to the gap followed by other teeth moving out of place, premature aging, sunken facial appearance, lowered confidence, and more. Luckily, there are multiple options for replacing missing teeth. Contact us for a consultation: 603-610-8765

When should I consider dental implants?

Bay Breeze Dentistry | Dec 27, 2021
Bay Breeze Dentistry | Dec 27, 2021

A dental implant is an excellent choice for replacing a missing, broken, or severely decayed tooth. It's the only restoration that'll replace an entire tooth from root to crown. This helps to make the implant look, feel, and function like a real tooth. No one will notice! What is the best way to whiten my teeth?

Bay Breeze Dentistry | Dec 27, 2021
Bay Breeze Dentistry | Dec 27, 2021

The short answer: Professional tooth whitening by a dentist. Why? It'll work better than store-bought or DIY methods. Professional teeth whitening removes intrinsic (internal) and extrinsic (surface) stains, which means whiter, even, and longer-lasting results. It's also customized to you, including your sensitivity and desired shade of white. Contact us to book a teeth whitening appointment: https://www.baybreezedentistry.com/services/cosmetic-dentistry/
