I have been A O & S M for about fifteen years because of my friend, Auther Itis insisted I come here, as well as my doctor and chiropractor. Atlantic also works with Portsmouth Regional Hospital 🏥, which is my first 🥇 choice for care. I have been with Atlantic when they were at their old location. Service is still professional and I didn't feel like a number. I was given a gown for my X-rays, which were performed in minutes. My X-rays were evaluated by the surgeons on duty and after an examination, I was told the results of my association with Auther Itis and I have a follow up appointment scheduled. My only issue was dealing with Medical Records. I had paperwork I needed filled out. The woman behind the desk had made it sound like that the wait time would be short. It took hours and I wasn't called when the paperwork was ready. They did send me an email 📨 and they faxed a copy to the fax number on the paperwork, but, I didn't know they would do that and I needed the paperwork back. I think 🤔 if you don't have insurance, you need to set up a $400 account to cover expenses. I like the new location! Easier to access Lafayette Road 🛣️! More parking. Inside has more space, especially the waiting area. Facemasks required to enter. I still do recommend this business.

Dr. McMahon is awesome. He has helped my IT Band issues immensely. He is empathetic and kind and clearly compassionate. Can not recommend him highly enough! He’s part of a great team at Atlantic orthopedic!

The office made a reminder call and DID NOT verify their address to a patient who has only seen doctor in his new location once before. As a result, patient went to old office first and was redirected. When patient arrived, the doctor being seen then berated them for going to the wrong office and "causing trouble". Repeatedly revisited the subject throughout the appointment, insisting he wasn't mad or blaming patient, but continued to beat a dead horse about a point that was made. EXTREMELY unprofessional. The staff behind the desk were kind but the ones walking the halls were rude and had terrible bedside manners. Overall a horrible experience and, frankly, if you want to feel respected or valued as a patient, don't even bother going here.

All the staff I encountered during the visit were exceptional. To a person, they were pleasant and competent, which can't always be easy in an environment were people are frequently in pain and anxious. Randy diagnosed the problem in my knee quickly - suggested methods to deal with it . I selected one, and was told I probably wouldn't feel the effects for a couple of days. Walking out the door I could already feel the difference; a day later and the improvement is remarkable. Randy answered all my questions and was easy to talk with. My case may be an easy one, and I never like to over-sell something, but I left my appointment knowing I was dealing with true professionals in every sense. Good people doing good work is the best of life.
