Recently had Visian ICL completed and am incredibly happy with the results. The staff were very helpful and I could call and get information instantly, from the initial consultation up until the actual operation. The price was initially a tough pill, as it is more expensive than most places, but after reading Dr. Peters history/certifications and after having him perform the operation, I can see why he is known as the best for LASIK/ICL's in New England, if not the east coast. This was in addition to the facilities and care provided being nearly perfect. My vision is also now perfect, even better than I could see with my contacts and glasses. If you were like me and on the fence about looking for a cheaper or easier option, DO NOT. I was prepared to get Lasik PRK at the Lasik institute in Burlington because it would've been cheaper and easier as Clear advantage had turned me away for many years as my prescription was not yet stable. After getting a final consultation at Clear advantage, who is MUCH more thorough, I realized that would have been a mistake. I am now grateful that Clear Advantage were professionals and had me wait because they would not be comfortable operating on me years ago, while other places just wanted my money and rushed me through consultations. This is your eyes for the rest of your life, do not factor in price, just go to the highest quality place you can find and figure out the money, I promise. They were also helpful on payment plans which I didn't need to use fortunately. The highest quality place for eyesight correction in my search was Dr. Peters and Clear Advantage, and it wasn't even close. Hopefully my long winded review will help some folks out in the same position who are trying to decide.

Let's talk Lasik. Granted, it hasn't even been 48 hours since my surgery, so if my eyes fall out, I promise I'll update this review. I'm the type of person where if there's even a microscopic chance of disaster, I'm certain it'll happen to me. I prepped myself for this surgery by stumbling around my house blindfolded while asking "Could I live like this?" Even with that answer being a resounding "NO," I decided to finally take the plunge before my 40th birthday. In sum, so far it's one of the best decisions I've ever made, and I strongly regret not doing it a decade ago. The experience at Clear Advantage is streamlined and professional. You quickly feel like you are in great hands and that nothing can go wrong. From the front desk, to the initial assessments with the techs, everyone is extraordinarily friendly while also emanating an air of "chill out dude, we do this all the time." And really, that's all I needed to accept the frightening proposition of lasers slicing my eyes open. The surgery itself is quick and painless. Doctor Peters calmly explains the process, you're in the chair for maybe 10 minutes, and the laser is more fascinating than terrifying. I entered the operation legally blind. Immediately afterwards my vision was still blurry, but much clearer than before. After a 2 hour, Valium-induced nap, I awoke to 20/15 vision. I only had 20/20 with contact lenses. It was a revelation. You must avoid all tv/phone screens during the first day and are on a strict prescription and lubricated eyedrops routine for the next month. It's a pain, but easily worth it. I live nearly an hour from Clear Advantage and chose them after a recommendation from my local eye doctor. I strongly feel like they must be the best in the region. Doctor Peters and the entire staff make the process clear, casual and pain-free. It's been nearly 30 years since I've had vision like this without contacts/glasses. Don't make my mistake and rule out this operation from fear.

Every single staff member I met was incredibly nice, answered all my questions very patiently and was clearly invested in helping me. Entire process was smooth - only hiccup was that my insurance wouldn't cover one of the medications, so someone called me to let me know in advance and texted me a coupon for it. I received documents about post-op care well before the actual surgery so I had time to familiarize myself with it, and on the day of, a nurse went over everything clearly and concisely with me as well. The doctor had great bedside manner and calmly talked me through the entire procedure which was incredibly helpful to me. I went from severe nearsightedness (-7 diopters) to 20/15 vision. Overall an extremely positive experience and I'm ecstatic with the results. I don't have a single bad thing to say.

Terrific doctor, terrific staff, and perfect results. After countless hours of research, I felt confident trusting this center with my eyes. They quickly answered my phone calls with random worries, and put me to ease knowing that my large pupils wouldn't have much of a risk for halos since they would only treat me with the latest "custom LASIK" machine. Dr. Peters was super calm, warm, and caring on the day of surgery. Just 1 week later and I'm already enjoying a very new, very crisp life!

Anyone have one eye done with lasik ( to correct diatance) and have good results?

I know you asked about having one eye done, I can't speak to having just one done. I had both eyes done there 11 days ago and the results are amazing. I highly recommend them.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the procedure. Conditions are covered by insurance. If you are getting an elective vision correction expect to pay at least $2,000 per eye. Because it is a medical procedure, there is no set cost because it varies person to person.
