Nice little nature trail off the highway. There ate some cool trees and it is shirt enough that even small children can do it. My two year old was able to walk almost the whole thing. It is about 1.3 miles. There are also restrooms at the trail head.

Nice short walk through conifers, aspens, shrubs and sagebrush. If you read all the interpretive signs and pause to eat lunch, it takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. There are several ancient Limber Pines there, 560 years old plus. The fall leaves were spectacular late September 2021.

I explored this lovely trail during some unexpected alone time and I feel so lucky that I did. Signage throughout that explains the different trees and wildlife. So many birds, they sang as I explored. And I came face to face with a deer towards the end of the hike. Amazing views of Bear Lake and some nice areas to meditate. Kid friendly, many rocks and trees and benches along the way for resting or playing. I only saw two other groups of hikers while I was there and because it was quiet I really enjoyed the abundance of nature.

Nice trail, mostly shaded. A few rocky portions but not too much. Hiked with a 7, 5, and 2 year old. The 2 year old walked half of the hike. The tree is very cool! We saw lots of butterflies. There are toilets at the beginning, they are not flush toilets.
