So pleasantly surprised with the beauty & variety of plant species. The staff was incredible & took time to talk plants with me. I work at a plant nursery so really valued their knowledge and the amazing care taken through out the property! Highly recommend!

Beautiful little park. Really enjoyed this hidden gem. Beautifully landscaped. They had the biggest bottlebrush tree I've ever seen! Clean and family friendly. Great place for a peaceful stroll along the boardwalk and paths. Would definitely visit again.

This is a lovely little park. It has a wonderfully shady boardwalk (about 1/3 of a mile), a picnic area, a greenhouse filled with a variety of orchids and a few trails (they were closed during our trip). The park is very well maintained. Bikes and scooters are not permitted. Bathrooms were closed. Beautiful gardens provide gorgeous background for photos. We were there for about an hour.

Very pretty little park for a short stroll, especially if you are interested in plants since they have many labeled. It would be a great place for a picnic or party. My dogs came along on leash, so much to sniff!

Yes i believe it is pet friendly!
It is very shady! I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to go for a pretty long walk (several laps) without having to use my giant shade hat. The boardwalk and the majority of the paths are completely shaded.
Kids and adults swim at the park every day... The park placed a barrier to keep alligators and other animals out of the spring...
I'd say all of the gardens and boardwalk aren't more than a mile and a half, probably even less than that. The boardwalk circles back around to the entrance of the park!
Yes they have a shelter but you have to call them to reserve the space.
Yes...you can also barbeque. They have picnic tablrs and grills.
Beautiful place a bit annoying to get too since I live in St Petersburg FL but it was worth it.
Yes it is. If the air conditioning isn't on, Just ask the staff and they'll happily accommodate
No, but beautiful well kept gardens and boardwalk by the rangers..they work very hard to make it nice..the rose garden, greenh..wish they'd keep signs , grizz garden, even though he retired..
I have no idea. Won't be able to help you with that question there.
No. There is no place to fish. The park is a nice place for a stroll, a picnic, or to relax.
The park is, mostly, a small botanical garden, a green house, and a boardwalk. Thus, there are no bike trails.
It was closed when I got there, even though Google sais it is still open.
I don't think it would be a problem. I've lived in the neighborhood since 1961 and been going to the park almost as long. Don't ever hear of anyone having a problem.
Only $2
Call 813-744-5536 or look online at Hillsborough County parks. They do both a shelter rental and a room rental. Room rental depends on the capacity, anywhere from $85.60 per hour to $149.80 per hour.
No. But it's not named after the road that it's on. It's the opposite. There was originally a natural spring there, but basically dried up due to the construction of the Tampa bypass canal. The road was named after the park.
Lithia Springs County Park and Hillsborough River State Park allow swimming, Wekiwa Springs State Park near Lake Apopka is pretty nice but a bit further away. Hillsborough County and the state of Florida have park websites that list what activities are available at each park.
If you even see a snake it will probably only be a brief glimpse as it flees... from You.
Nope! Just walking in the beautiful park. Along with the walk through the green house.
Nope! Just a beautiful boardwalk and with beautiful flowers in the greenhouse. Along with a pretty nice picnic area.
It has beautiful garden to walk through but like the previous person, no play ground. Its good little park for kids to see and explore.
No only foot traffic! They got signs up stating that no bikes only foot traffic. I've been going to the park for years. I also live in the neighborhood. 😊
Absolutely! Its a beautiful park to take photos. Some people do wedding, prom, graduation and even baby/children shoots. Go and check it out! 😊
Two dollars to park the enjoyment is free. I live right down the road in the neighborhood. Grew up in the neighborhood since1961 and around the park. Very peaceful place to walk or just sit and think.
It is a county park, so you must obey county ordinances unless otherwise posted. Which means unless there is a sign stating the dog can be without a leash, a leash is necessary. You would need to find a dog park if you want to go unleashed.
