Favorite spot to go downtown Sarasota. Beautiful park with lovely views; great for families and pets. A big, open area to walk or hang out, a park for kiddos, and a spot for food and drinks!

Very nice park facing the waters and marina. The playground was of course the main highlight. The playground was well shaded by trees AND canopies. Perfect spot to cool down while letting our daughter play. There is also a set of tunnels at one end of the play area with plenty of seats.
A Nony Mouse
very relaxing with nice views of the beach, got a few bench swings! short promenade Parking was completely packed on Saturday at 5pm, but I walked over from the Marie Selby gardens parking. romantic date: Marie Selby gardens followed by lunch at O'Leary's cafe, walk through Bayfront Park, sitting on a bench swing facing the water. public restrooms are clean, but the toilets are interestingly low and cold stainless steel

This place is soo cool. There are so many statues and different things to look at. They have a nice play ground. Lots of bench swings by the water. There's is even a snack shop. We walked around it a night a couple of times. It was so relaxing and peaceful. Can't wait to go back one day.

I prefer in the afternoon so you can watch the sun go down and take a ride on the boats.
Yes! People fiah here all day long and its totally acceptable. Enjoy!
No
Yes
Yes they allow you to do that Thursday area where you can put your excuse or your boats they have a ramp there especially for that and parking for your car
I didn't pay attention, but several people replied that only daytime parking is allowed. Have fun!
No dogs in the park or on the Beach, they do have signs! A beach/park for picnics is no place for dog's 😬
There is a splashpad but for kids.
Fireworks are for sure not.
.Yes, there it will be open Yes, it will be open there.
You can grab a bike sit on a bench grab a blanket and sit in the park plenty of sitting all over the place
Not yet but the playground is open finally
I would check with the marina or the city about that.
It's much better to fish at the fishing pier which is right up the road
No
No, there are no picnic tables or grills for cooking. Not that kind of park.
No wifi 😕
Not sure, but see people with them. Just clean up after them.
Yes it is. But make sure you have a leash handy and the dog has their tags. Animal Control does go through there frequently. $200 fine if the dog isn't leashed.
Yes Monday to Monday
It is City water, I'm sure...
Oak avenue or Park avenue. They are short beach access so you don't have to carry it to far. Bayfront park is another good location because it has restrooms and a shower. Plus you can explore the canal's by going underneath the bridge to the right.
O'Learys Tiki Bar, dog friendly, and child friendly!
Yes
Get one from the parks department, or buy a boat, and keep it at the marina/ mooring field.
No. Only see a sheriff boat every once in awhile along the bayside.
O'Leary Tiki Bar and Restaurant is always open and they have jet water skies for rental. You can even bring your dog there. Also there are boat rentals for site seeing and fishing. Music is playing and dancing permitted. Swings located all thru the whole park with a children's playground and beautiful water sprinklers that has some shade. Picnic tables and outdoor barbecues. Biking is permitted. Nearby they have bike rentals. Hope this helps!
There is a playground where children were playing in we saw the other day.
Boats and jet skis are not allowed at the park. This beach is for swimming.
Yes grilling is okay. Praise the Lord! Beautiful park with water fountain for children 😀😀
