As this is a neighborhood park, many streets butt up to it, yet it feels very rural with the overhanging trees. A 1/2 mile paved track winds thru it. Squirrels and an iguana crossed my path the day I took my walk. There is also a unique fitness playground and “Little Library” on the outskirts of the property. There are lights which allows the park to be open 5am to 11pm.

Arlington Park has a little of everything and is set in a beautiful area in the shade of a bunch of huge oak trees. My daughter swims at the pool here so we spend a lot of time at the park. The public exercise area is awesome. It's free and is shaded enough by the trees that it's not too hot most of the year. There is a ton of equipment so you can get in a great full body workout. My 11 year old uses it as a Ninja Warrior type training area. There is also a great playground for the little ones and some trails around a lake for walking.

This is a nice park nestled in the Sarasota Memorial area of Sarasota Florida. Once you’ve arrived at the park you will notice the nice public pool. However due to COVID-19 the pool is only open for lap swimming by reservations only. Masks must be worn Arrington and leaving the pool area. Each reservation spot lasts for forty five minutes. The pool is heated. There is a nice large dog park within the walking trail. The dog park has small cooling off pools for the dogs to play in. Water so that you can not only give your dog a fresh drink but also put fresh water in the little pools. There are plenty of picnic tables for sitting while watching the dogs inside the fenced in area. I also noticed that people leave their own chairs there for people to sit in a more comfortable chair. This park has a really nice walking trail filled with wildlife. There are many different species of birds. Several species of turtles. All of them act as though you are going to feed them. I’m guessing people must feed them. They are so used to the dogs coming and going that it really doesn’t seem to affect them. There is a compose area for the plant life in the park. There are many beautiful plants to enjoy while walking the trail. The game Pokémon go has several stops in the park. There are benches and picnic tables throughout the park for your enjoyment.

The gas heaters are working for both pools and the electric heater and chiller are working for the small pool and they are working to fix the big pools. Babies are welcome if they have swim diapers for the instructional pool.
