This place is awful the staff are power hungry and they make you do outlandish amount of chores for getting a student right up which is the lowest form of being in trouble there's black mold in every room the hot water doesn't work if u need something fixed don't expect them to fix it the food gets you sick all the time please don't come here it's a waste of time

The staff care very much about their students. This is a phenomenal, underrated program for kids. It is government backed and they need to put some more funds into the facility.

I went through Angell Job Corps back in Sept. 1975 and graduated in June of 1976. I went through the Union Pre-Apprentice Program and worked as a Carpenter until 1992. I got my GED and a great paying career from them. I was a High School dropout and this was a great way to get started. The Academic and Vocational Programs are excellent. If you are looking for a way up and are 21 years old or less, this could be it. I'm still in contact with some of the people I was there with.....

this center I feel is one of the best centers I have gone to, the staff really care about the students and they have awesome trades. the trade instructors are very good about helping you learn your specified trade. the RL staff are amazing they have really helped me through the program and become a better version of myself. I really recommend going to this center!

If you are asking if you are allowed to have a phone while attending Job corps -yes you can from day one.
Yes they are, you have to call by Wednesday
Yes you can
Go to counselor, and request resignation papers. It's a process. I would beg of you to consider the original reason for joing JC. Soul searching time...
No we do not have a marine biology course, but we are seeing about having trips to the Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport! Hope that helps!
They are Changing all of the Civilian Conservation Centers like Angell to private for profit centers and are no longer taking in students until the changes take place. Maybe a call to a congressman to show how much people support this program would help. Angell students graduate and earn more $ than at profit centers.
No, they had culinary, painting, forestry, masonry, welding, carpentry, Auto shop and plumbing, if you go to their website they give you a general list of the trades you can take.
I do not. You can go to the website for job corps
When I was there I got a prepaid debt card and whatever checks my family sent me I loaded them onto the card at Wal-Mart
Three weeks after entry.
