I would give it 1 star. Pricing here is cheaper than other place a little bit which is why they are alway busy. Usually it take at least two hours to get your pet a treatment. The service is horrible. Especially the font desk section. Last time I checked in with the girl with short to get my pet annually vaccine. I don’t know if she even read the record of my pet, she was like it’s not due yet, it’s next month. I told her I got a letter send to my home. And she was like “ oh yea”. After I checked in, I waited another 1 hour, and see other people after me get a treatment before me. I have to come to the front desk again to ask, the same Short hair girl, she told me just wait. Will be your turn soon, I bet she didn’t even look to know who the customer is. I waited another hour, I decided to check with another front desk again. And it looks like the short hair didn’t put down my name for waiting list. Finally, She put my name on the list, I ran out of time, I go back to the office near by to wait for their call. It wasted the whole morning just to get a vaccine. #Not easy to run a business when you hired a bad a careless people. I hope this place can improve the process in the future.

I really like this place. The staff is very polite and professional. They treated my Dog like family. I was able to show up early, right after opening, and was able to get a walk-in check up for my dog. I had called around and most vets don’t take walk-ins. I feel the price was fair for the quality of service. Some Vets are charging way too much, and because of that a lot of people can’t afford to take care of their pets needs. This place is fair. Most vets are booked up weeks ahead, so don’t wait until the last min to make an appointment. Please be polite to the staff, they seem to be doing the best they can with an overwhelming amount of clients.

I went in to this clinic on Wednesday at 4:30pm my dog appeared to have an eye infection I was told I should make an appointment and come back on Friday morning 2 days later @ 8:30 am She also said I should be about 15 minutes early came back on Friday At the time requested, my lil dog has Severe anxiety when she's away from home especially in the vet's office Anyone that can see or hear is very well aware of this when my dog is in the vet's office other than the women that work behind the counter as they didn't & dont care that my dog was frantic and full of anxiety! I was told numerous times to be patient someone will be with me shortly, the same thing they told everyone that came in behind me. It was more than 2 hours after my appointment time when I asked the girl to give me a realistic time that they'd be calling my dog back, At which time the girl said "you are aware you're in a hospital right, there are emergencies that come up you have to be patient" she gladly said she'd take my name off the list and I could leave, Which I promptly did I've never come into this facility and left there in an expedient manner even to get my dog's nails clipped takes more than an hour. This place is more concerned about making money than the well being of our pets they no longer deserve to have my pet in their facility! I found a very very good hospital right around the corner from my house and was in-and-out within 30 minutes my dog's in great shape no thanks to you guys...don't take your animals here unless you want to throw away your money and have you and your pet treated like You don't matter, our time is important as well as is the well being of our pets you should learn that! You've lost my business forever and I've done business with your facility for nearly 10 years that's a shame as you give to much authority to these little girls who are your clinic into the ground!

Do not bring your pets here!!!! They do not care about your pets. I’m sure, behind close doors these poor animals are being mishandled. If you love your fur baby like I like mines! I would not trust my dog under their care. My First visit, was not the best experience but I decided to return hoping it would be better. I usually take my dog to Family Animal Hospital in Costa Mesa but they did not have any available appointments, so I decided to go with this location “Bad Idea! My dog has seasonal allergies where I have to take her, once a year to the vet for an injection and medication. Dr. Peter Kendrick is the Vet who saw my dog. He did not show any concern towards my dog or say much to me. He asked me what do I want to do? I explained my dogs current situation to Mr. Kendrick and told him what they usually do at my dogs regular Vet, to control her allergies. I was hoping, he would advise me or suggest something better but he seemed unconcerned. It’s always good getting two different opinions but I got nothing from Mr. Kendrick but an expensive vet visit! he prescribed same pills, gave my dog an injection and suggested a spray that I ended up removing because I don’t see it necessary when an injection and five days worth of pills is enough to control her allergies. I ended up being prescribed too many pills and overpaying when I usually pay $60 to $70 where my dog regularly goes. I feel this place does not care about your pets. They seem to want to max you out, knowing you don’t need half of the items suggested! Family Animal Hospital in Costa Mesa provides affordable vet services. They advise you and do not suggest anything thats unnecessary. They show concern and care for your pets well-being. I have never paid close to $191.50 for an injection and medication at my dogs regular Vet! I have two receipts and you can compare prices. It’s Not for the same thing, but Family Animal Hospital truly does offer affordable vet services. This location is a rip off and their not even concern about your pet. It’s all business to them. I rather stick to my regular Vet!

It was his choice.
I’m not sure if they attend to frogs. I highly recommend calling at 9am or walking in around that time to check. The morning rush normally does by then. I don’t think they have staff monitoring their Google business listing?
You are going to want to bring your card.. last time I was there a woman near me tried paying with cash but the rep at the desk told her they didn't have change so she had to go get her card to pay
also I want to know.
If a pet is going in for a yearly exam with no concerns, yes the cost is $27.00. If a pet comes in with certain symptoms, of course the Dr. will recommend blood work or any other treatment they feel is necessary.☺️
Its around $56. Broken down its $45 for ovariohysterectomy, and the rest is for pain injection & hazardous waste disposal. Neuters for males are less.
I really wish I could help you but the best time to call is first thing in morning at 8am or at 12 to 1 pm when things are slow
I'd say call them and ask because they usually open up slots that are "first come first serve". Call and ask when they open up the next slots and the pricing is based on the weight of your pet :)
Yes I feel you girl it just so stressful.,but it still takes too damn long.i love my dog but can you hurry up please 🥺
Hello Aurora, From what the vet hospital has told me, appointments are only for surgeries or other major medical conditions, but if your dog needs a rabies vaccine, you don't need an appointment. The clinic is a first come first serve (with the exempt of appointments). Waiting time is around 2-4 hours. The clinic tends to be busy all the time, I believe that's why that's the waiting time. Please consider, this is from my own experience, it doesn't mean it will go exactly as I have experienced it myself. Hope this helps.
Yes they don't answer the phone, but I went in person so they give me an appointment..
Dogs and cats yes rabbit not sure
I believe you pay for services at the time you receive them.
Definitely cheaper than anybody else been taking my dogs there for the last 30 years
There is a fee for nail trimming separate from office visit
You can get a coupon from the police department you just need to call. You will need your pet Registration and vaccination.
It will depend on your dogs weight and other factors. Call them and ask..
I don't know I have a cat. But they are very reasonable. I wouldn't be able to get things done for my cats without them.
You would need to call and inquire.
You shouldn't declaw any kitty..it's an extension of their toes. Can cause lots of future problems with sensitivity to feet, cat litter issues.
You should call the business. Were you aware this is a map
According to their website, they close at 5 on Saturdays. I posted a screenshot of the hours.
