We loved our first glass making experience. Garrett was a great teacher and happy to answer all of our questions. Upon arrival we were able to look at lots of samples to choose what we wanted to make and the colors we wanted to use. We were able to be a part of most of the process and it all felt very safe. Family was able to watch from behind glass windows and they could hear much of the instruction as well. We love our paper weights!

Experience was only "meh". Took my sister-in-laws in for glass blowing as they had never done it before. I've been to other studios and to be honest, this one fell flat. I understand the restrictions for Covid are somewhat limiting, but I've been to other studios since Covid hit and they were a lot more hands on. We did not get to do any of the blowing (which I have done safely since Covid in other studios) and most of the process was handled by the instructor. We had to wear masks the entire time while the instructor did not, at all, and neither did the person that was in training and working right next to us. Also, they had us wear gloves, which I've never done in other studios before, but didn't tell us they were not sanitized at all until we were done and taking them off. Would have been nice to know before hand and given the choice to wear them or not. The instructor did not wear any at any time, so I'm not sure why we had to. We all made small bowls and even though we requested the same exact thing but different colors, we ended up with 3 different bowls - shapes and sizes. One bowl was nicely shaped. The second bowl turned out ok but that was after my sister-in-law was insistent that the instructor continue to work on it so it wasn't uneven and lopsided. After being asked several times if it was ok, my sister-in-law finally agreed to it being done and it turned out "ok". Mine was the worst and I'm really sorry I didn't insist on the instructor working on it more. As the instructor and "artist", I relied her on expertise to help produce a quality item. I'm a little surprised she would let the piece go out the door with stores stamp on the bottom. The picture probably doesn't show how misshaped the bowl is, but it is definitely lopsided and has air bubbles (not sure if that is normal as none of my other pieces have them). They were ok, just make sure to speak up and insist on fixing things when they don't seem right (even though you're not the expert).

Home school family with 6 kids. I've got to say, these people are SO amazing. Kids got to do hands on blowing with the gaffer at the kiln. I can not rave enough over how amazing they were! If you're looking for an awesome family experience. THIS IS IT!
