We live in Toledo and we missed our food pantry this week due to things beyond our control, so we traveled to Newport food pantry. We are a family of four with 2 small children and they turned us away due to the fact we live in Toledo. I understand the food is divided equally throughout Lincoln County but to harshly turn a family with small children away who is truly on hard times and not as the woman who worked there said "site hopping' hurts my heart. I am trying my hardest to make ends meet which they aren't and to be said basically good luck finding food, what are things coming to, I am embarrassed enough that I am struggle. After I called and asked for a logic explanation why they would turn us done a struggle family away just because we live 20 minutes away, while holding back tears and kids yelling in the back ground the women said she not allowed to but she would make an exception this one and only time. This whole thing has been humiliated and demeaning.

Providing food for the less fortunate is wonderful. They could be a little more compassionate about people with PTSD though. My roommate assists me in public, but they made us go separately, causing me to have a panic attack.
