The lady at the front window was rude like she didn’t want to be at work helping the people in need of there services but all the other staff was very helpful in made the process very comfortable

The staff is very rude , it’s as if they don’t want to be there . I went there with my child and significant other and was told I couldn’t be helped because they couldn’t verify I was really homeless . Even though I had other homeless services call them and verify that I was indeed homeless . These people do NOT care about the homeless families of Los Angeles .

Rude staff. They don't want to be there and it shows. Asking simple questions about their services upsets them for some reason. I just left I was treated so bad within 5 minutes of arriving there!! I don't recommend try GOING to path or urm. These people will call dcfs.

I felt descriminated as a hispanic single mother of 2 children. I went a few years back I was living in motels and was sleeping in laundries on other days. I met a black friend in the motel who told me hopics was paying her motel and getting her section 8 so she took me and when I showed up they told me they dont do assistance with motel vouchers or help get section 8. My friemd called out the supervisor and asked why they offered her this help and not me that I have kids. I walked out with no help and my friemd got her section 8 eventually I got kicked out the motel

They will find temporary housing and they do have employment resources
They say they help with deposits but they do not. If you do get an apartment they will not pay or they will pay late consistently you will end up getting an eviction on your name
Hobbits has whatever you need and if they don't have what you need they will point you in the direction to get what you need a little slow but nothing patients can't handle. Since 2018 topics has changed and enhanced my life from a to z.
They gone offer you motel vouchers just to tell you they don't have any 🤔 and I have a family and my pet is service dog
Los Angeles south central area
Yes they will but tell them your funds are running out
Hopics... Los Angeles...n Broadway off of Slauson...its a Process anywhere u go but...
Hopics homeless outreach program for men is in South Broadway across the train tracks.
Slauson
No.... You have to go to the housing authority on Wilshire
Yes the new fiscal year has begun funding is not the problem it's ensuring they have a place to place people given the drastic increase in the homeless numbers
Hopics on crocker dont but behind them the housing authority does pay for ur motel for u and ur 3 small kids . Now they have it setup if u dont go to ur meeting that they have every month then they wont pay for ur stay
How old is your daughter? They have a family services side off of San Pedro and Slauson that works with families. Bring your identification and birth certificate for your daughter to get started...
I'm currently homeless with my 6 year old daughter in need of assistance
I dont know. But they do help with motel voucher for 120 days
There are several websites. The apartments get full fast
I think to the tenant
Yes but on Manchester and Hoover at our Navigation center
I would make advance appointment
I'm not sure how long it takes, but due to covid they're not putting people in shelters right now which is good. If you haven't already used the hotel vouchers that the county gives people who get ebt etc.. then they'll have you get the hotel voucher process out of the way for your 2 weeks and then Hopics will get you started with their process. I'm not sure what the Hopics process is yet when it comes to housing people currently because of covid because I'm still in the hotel voucher process, but stay encouraged everything is going to be okay for you.
TRY PATH OR SHEILDS FOR FAMILIES
It's going to be open.
Please be patient and speak with your intake case manager. Everyone's case/needs are different.
Yes
No
Is the Welfare office on Central Ave. /108th within your jurisdiction. That's where my GR is and I roam around because of ? . Hope you can help. I can change welfare offices. Is there going to be a Winter Shelter ? Please Answer at your convenience.
Dont know You need to go there and find out
Autumn, yes they do help and provide services to undocumented individuals. If it's a single homeless individual they need to go to 5715 S. Broadway in Los Angeles or 5849 Crocker st on San Pedro side... in Los Angeles
I work at Hopics you need to go to 5715 S. Broadway and ask for Housing Navigation.
My understanding is that only certain people in certain situations qualify for section 8 through HOPICS such as Disability, or AIDS/HIV
Derek you can go to the Broadway and slauson office m-f get there preferably around 7am they open at 8 or 830... You will receive a number and will be able to speak with an intake worker. Tell them your situation, including you exact location where you sleep. They will send an outreach team to your location to verify your homelessness and go from there. That is the most effective way to get started. Hope this helps...
Yes, however they are so inundated with phone calls and people coming in. The best times to call are between 11-12pm. 1-5pm. Wednesday & Thursdays. Better yet go there in person. They can answer your questions better plus it's always worth your time from 7am to 8am. After that it's too late.
No-Yes, depends on your circumstance.
Hopics is a Homeless Shelter that house homeless people they don't find people housing according to their income, people find their own housing, and if you are a client you get Rapid Rehousing
I applied they asked me for a list of documents when I got my paperwork and took it back they helped me..my second visit
They help u right away
All depends for which program you were applying for... Rapid Rehousing, eviction prevention, CBEST, etc
