Beautiful closest to the boundary waters experience you can get with all the amenities, clean pit toilets, showers, heated cabins, great fishing and boat rentals!! Beautiful hiking trails. Just bring your bug spray :)

Amazing. Not a whole lot of mosquitoes like some of the other parks in the area. It might've just been the breeze, but the only places I found mosquitoes were on the east side of the Becky Lake loop and the north side of Blueberry Lake. The rest of the park was pretty pest free. There are some great spots on the front of the hiking club loop to see the lake. If you are on that trail and see an unmarked spur, go down it.

Camped here for 3 nights. Very nice campground and park. Beach, campground, lots of canoe area and hiking trails. They also have canoe rental at the park. Ely not far and there is alot to do in the immediate area. Would definitely camp/explore there any time. Beautiful place.

Absolutely amazing. The lake has the clearest water, the sites are beautiful, and there are so many animals you will encounter. The fishing is wonderful and the boat rentals are cheap as well. The wood bundles are huge and the rangers are so helpful. We will be back no matter what.

Sites 51 through 58 are the closest sites to the lake, although they are separated from it by the road.
Headed east on 169 from Tower there is about 3 miles under construction before park road and headed west from Ely there is about 3 miles of construction before park road. No real problems or delays either direction
No, there are shared latrines nearby the cabins.
There's always a Park Ranger on site.
They have three working water spigot. One is the hand pump and the others are at the RV dump station and the park check in station. NO individual water at any sites.
The sites in the campground are not on waters edge but some are close to the lake. There are several paths to the lake with docks spread out around the campground where you can leave your boat in the water. They do have one watercraft site that you get to by boat that overlooks the lake. It's a beautiful park with good fishing too!
I mostly had service with both Straight Talk and Verizon, it is spotty but had enough to check radar, play a online game and my hot spot worked to stream Netflix.
https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/state_parks/camper_cabins.html /Per the DNR web site you can only cook inside cabins with Crock-Pots and coffee pots. Not all camper cabins have electric either, so make sure you know which one you have when making reservations.
