Campground was full. Have camped here several times. Clean rest rooms. Did not see camp host or even a sign. Would be nice if there were a way to see if campsites available before you travel 80 miles.

Such a wonderful park. I had some time to kill so I stopped by the West End Park and snapped a few cool pictures. My sister-in-law + I took advantage of the Lake Walk close by a few days later.

Great place to park your camper or motorhome. There are spots with a view of the lake, and the grounds are well maintained. There's no water hookup so you'll need to bring your own. They do have a natural running well on site and multiple water spigots. There's no sewer hookup but there is a dump station. There is a nice little beach and playground for kids on site as well as a boat launch. Lots are 27 bucks a night unless you have the waterfront view which is 35 a night. Keep in mind that it is cash or check only, and there is no office to contact, there is a camp host on site. The most issues you will have is grabbing a spot once one opens, as you can't reserve any ahead of time it's first come first serve. The spots seem to get filled in as fast as they are opened up.

Have been coming here since I was a child. The artesian well fills me with nostalgia every time that I see it. I have never camped here personally, but have spent plenty of time at the beach. Speaking of, this park has seen better days. I saw online that there are plans to revamp it, but that was in 2015 and I didn't see anything being changed. The parking lot flooded last time I was here. It's still a beautiful area and on the right day its almost magical. It just needs some TLC.
