Since one star is the lowest rating you can leave, one star it is. I’ll start this by saying I did indeed purchase a car (so no one thinks I’m a scorned person who couldn’t get financed) but the transaction was not only the worst transaction I’ve ever had purchasing a car, it was the worst experience I’ve ever had in a car dealership. I would never recommend this location to anyone after my experience there, and anyone who asks I’ll gladly tell them to stay away!! From front to back my purchase was a NIGHTMARE. I did everything myself at home in hopes of having an express pickup to get to the dealer and be told everything I’d been told over the phone the last week was a lie and we had to start completely over. So after we did that daunting process and went back and forth about more lies I was promised that couldn’t be fulfilled, I was finally bought by the bank on the car I had picked. So I think the nightmare is over when I go to sign my paperwork and I am met with the most rude woman I’ve ever dealt with in my life. I’m shocked this lady’s supervisor didn’t see the way she treated people and fire her on the spot. She refused to let me hand sign my paperwork and kept arguing with the sales guy in front of me to the point I had to complain to multiple managers…. Over signing paperwork. After I just made a 15k purchase. I walked in this dealership with 3k and made a 15k purchase and I was treated horribly. I truly hope the management reads this and makes changes because how I was treated is unacceptable and I will inform anyone I know of the poor experience 👌🏻

I use to love CarMax, have gotten a previous vehicle that was great and lasted 10 years. I went back and the experience has been less than great. Purchased a car 35 days ago. Been in for service 3 times, 2 out of three of those times the check engine light was on. I just got my car back a day and half a go and it’s having drivability issues again. I called to tell them that I’m over it and they have the nerve to say that my car is 5 days over the limit to return and that they will consider buying the car back after it’s looked at on Monday. Completely understand people try to get over but I’m not and am not lying when I take the car in for service. Very frustrating and I’ve contacted a lawyer in regards to this matter. 0/10 would not recommend

Buying a vehicle through Carmax was a positive experience. I was able to do a lot of comparison shopping online. The sales staff at the Riverside store were professional and helpful. Everything went smoothly, with no surprises or issues. I was able to find a pickup that meets my needs at a fair price.

This is the second car I've bought from CarMax, and I will gladly go back, and send ALL of my friends there! Elijah made this a relatively painless process, and I am so thankful for his patience and resiliency, because I was a BIG brat! He was able to make recommendations and tell me about ALL of the cars I wandered over too, as well as ALL of the brands those cars came in. Hats off to him, because it takes a special kind of person to calmly deal with a person as frantic, and wishy-washy, as I was! The dealership was clean, even though it was busy. The restroom was surprisingly clean, as well. There was a large variety of cars, colors, years (Even newer cars!), with reasonable, no haggle prices. I honestly think they have something for EVERYONE! If you're looking for a car, a great deal, and a personable salesperson, stop by and see Elijah. He was even kind enough to bring us water, twice, and offered additional, personalized service (Like making the process of removing my personal property from one car, and putting into the new car, easier; and getting us checked out quickly-shhh!). If Elijah is not available, see Juan. He is also amazing, and helped me with my first purchase with CarMax, after that car accident a few years ago. I made it a point to shake his hand, at the end of the process. Saul, in the signing department was my final stop before laying eyes on my shiny new car, with it's big yellow bow! He was great, organized, and efficient. It was a breeze! This was the perfect Mother's Day Gift! I am confident your experience will be as equally rewarding as mine.

They have Max Care and it does come with free towing. If you had repairs done to your car under warranty and if they didn't fix it right. You need to call them and let them know, and No you don't need to pay again if your still having the same problems with your car and wasn't fixed right the first time.
Take the car to car max and demand an explanation and tell them to fix it for free.
You got a warranty not a maintenance package. You can take it to any certified mechanic. Just keep your receipt to keep a record of your maintenance.
Yes, you can pay outright for a car, no financing is required.
They take almost any, I have sold them quite a few vehicles.
