Rude people who answer the phones. You would think being officers here to protect and serve us they would have some respect, not some high right like the girls who answer are unprofessional, you get more respect from your local Starbucks. The officers do respond quickly when I reported suspicious activity, but always felt it was pointless calling because more than half the time they make you just want to hang up.

AWFUL! I just moved into a LA county incorporated area under the Sheriff's jurisdiction. Within a month I had my wife's car broken into, minus the valuables they also took a set of keys that were forgotten in the console. The officer that took the original report was nice and shared concern and was helpful in writing a grand theft report. Later that night, all of our stolen goods from the same morning are posted by the same seller on an online platform. OUR STUFF IN THE PICTURES! We call the office the dispatch seemed concerned and sent an officer. This officer entered my home, asked zero questions that require critical thought, and immediately began telling us that unfortunately they wouldn't be able to do anything. I stressed that this person has our keys, is jeopardizing our safety, and financial straining the family; but he would hear nothing! He said they would do nothing, gave me a political speech, and insisted nothing would ever happen the person THAT I KNOW HAS MY PROPERTY! Even said I was probably right, but nothing will happen. Thank you officer. Why do I work hard and pay my taxes? For the office in charge of my jurisdiction to tell me sorry, we aren't going to do anything to criminals, good luck. Thank you officer for eroding my confidence in your office and society in general, going to sleep feeling a lot less safe. The officer in the morning even mentioned that they RARELY patrol our area... GREAT! Really out here making the community feel safe. This office must have zero morals, core values, or proper leadership. Speaks to the Sheriff's office in this state as a whole.

San Dimas sheriff's deputies have always been very positive and receptive. In the Via Verde area we don't see a lot of crime, but during the holidays there's an uptick. The deputies have been very receptive to traffic enforcement and patrolling the area. Thank you men and women for what you do!

Unfortunately, I called to report suspicious behavior and the female receptionist officer taking the call was not very kind after I told her I wished to remain anonymous for my safety. I never use 911 unless completely necessary and her response is exactly why civilians call 911 when it is unnecessary. Bummer. Protect and Serve that's her job. Sorry to bother her.

Good question! Best bet would be to ask at the front desk. You can also call and ask for records.
