Well let me start off by saying it's my fault But to take away all the cash in my bank account And levying it leaving me no way to work Is a scruples act of prededitoral practice Shaking people down for there cash Is no more than a legal street thug. California will receive their karma, May they're worker's run out of water In there home's and there car's be impounded By D.O.T. how dose one get to work With No money!

This is not an EDD office. This is WORK SOURCE. If you come in with any questions relating EDD they will not help you & they will just sit you on their phone to be on hold just as long as if you were to call on your own phone.

Haha Herby

I don’t know how these people have jobs. One of the most unprofessional and unorganized government entity I have ever experience. I asked them to send me my forms for my doctor to fill in English and mail me a form in a completely different language. Couldn’t get on the phone with them to order another one. Then once I got them sent over I waited 3 months and I heard nothing back - I call and 2 representatives put me on hold and the phone hangs up the final call I get I ask him about where am I in this process he tells me that the paperwork is still laying there and they forgot to process it. I was so baffled. Everyone needs to be fired!

Im collecting unemployment now. How do I apply for an extension of benefits?

Dennis Mangan | Aug 25, 2018
Rashida Jackson | Aug 25, 2019

I'm not 100% sure but I believe you just call the same edd number and listen to the menu. There should be an option to extend your benefits if you're still in California call the EDD 1-800-300-5616. Per the site it looks like it depends on the unemployment rate for the state that determines if you qualify on this website it had a note " Under federal law, as of 2019, EUC benefits are no longer available." But try this site (below) for more info or google "edd extension 2019 california" https://fileunemployment.org/california/extension

Are there human beings that can help with this? I applied weeks ago, got accepted, have called 50+ times, been told no payment has been made (true), have tried to use telecert, answer all questions, and so far no luck at all.

Go into the office and ask for help. I remember I waited almost 2 months because something needed to be done online that I wasn't aware of. The guy that helps you with the computers has a lot of attitude and is condescending, but at least you'll start getting your checks.

I can't fill out my UI form online. The website will not allow me to put my employer's address in. The site populated that line with an incorrect address, and I cannot change it. I worked at home in CA for a Virginia employer. Is that the problem?

Mary Villano | Aug 24, 2020

Even though you worked from home, it was from a company in a different state, the company pays into unemployment for there own state.
