The security guards were nice and friendly from getting screened outside and getting a number. The agents were friendly and it went by quick. Just fill out the forms online then find nearest SSA office.

Bad phone service I was on hold for 20 minutes, then they let the phone ring a good 20 to 30 times without answering, I call back in now the phone is off the hook smfh.

If you need customer service and want to speak with someone over-the-phone... good luck! If you're lucky enough for someone to answer, they'll hang up on you, be rude, or not say they're putting you on hold and not talk for 20+ minutes hoping you'll hang up the phone. Are these the people that SSA is employing? If you don't like your job, quit and find another. I'm sure there's some actual competent people that would love to be employed here. Jeez. So frustrating.

The people that work in the office that answer the phone are very rude and disrespectful. Plus when you call and they finally pick up the majority of the time they don’t even say nothing they will just sit there listening to you say hello then hang up in your face.

What do u mean your social security? Are u asking about your social security card or the card that they give u for ur payments every month?
Good question, usually, SSA would post benefit payments the day before, if your scheduled payment date lands on the weekend or on a legal holiday. Please be patient, due to where (back east time zone) and when it is posted (could be a three hours difference for some of us). If the day before comes and goes without your payment posting, you will need to wait for the next business day, but also realize that nothing in life is perfect, especially not our American Government, which still has a hurry up and wait attitude when it comes to taking care of business, expeditionly.

Yes, they will ask you wear a mask to go in the building.
You can walk in. No appointment needed. Come any day after Tuesday. It's less crowded ,but the wait time is still a little long. Roughly about 45 minutes to 1hour.
