First thing to check would be to go to a pharmacy with a copy of your prescription and request an emergency refill (and explain why). Depending on what it is they may be able to fill it outright. If this fails, try a telemedicine provider. If that fails, call the consulate directly - this is a page for questions *about* the consulate - the consulate does not monitor it directly.

I knew this person who worked for IRS and met an Australian guy. She met him in Aus and vice-versa thereafter. My ex-gf and I met the guy, and invited them for Christmas eve in my home along with other relatives and friends. I remember that he had found a job as a Manager at a Hotel. That's a quick and easy way of getting a job in so little time. When I was going through issues with my relationship with my my ex, I was invited to have a dinner with the couple, my ex, colleague and the guy. For work yes you would need a Visa. if it is tourist you can get an ETA Visa which takes all of 15 minutes online at the Australian home affairs website.
