This is one of my most favorite parks! Hiking trails are amazing - plenty to choose from for all levels! Kayaking is cool amd refreshing, as is the river. The scenery around the river is stunning! And honesy, I've never seen any crowds here. The park offers cabins (really great options for a budget friendly stay), but you have to bring your own linens and such. Finally, the area has a great marina for all kinds of water fun! Dogs are welcome on leash. Best place ever!

We camped at Grapevine along the river and oh my gosh was it stunning! Perfect amount of shade at the campsite with great river access. The water is perfect for paddling. It was chilly for my children but they loved it on a hot day. Side note: Bathrooms looked super rough. I suggest bringing your own travel potty.

4.5 stars. Reasonable price, not overly crowded, staff was helpful and the park is maintained well. The Forest Heritage Center and useful exhibit was a great learning experience. The art work is beautiful as well as so many beautiful wood pieces.

This is really nice state park you got see huge lake, big trail, various sights. It is really developed nicely everywhere you can find ample of space for parking your vehicle but you would need to purchase $10 pass for the day. This state park offers residential property as well for your stay. Park closes at 06:00 PM during fall season. So if you want to enjoy sunset you would need to plan your visit accordingly. Approximately 3 hours are enough to cover the park. It has got one museum as well not big but it tells you gow wood crafting is done to bring beauty.

Transporting firewood can bring in invasive species like the emerald ash beetle. You should buy firewood locally to protect the park.
Yes, the beach area has a small swimming area sectioned off from the main river. Great place for kids.
They can be hard to reach some days. My wife has to be persistent but, eventually, she gets through.
Yes on some cabins
There is an additional small refrigerator for beer as well. However the refrigerator and equipment furnished is not really for large crowds, we discovered. If you have food for 12 for a weekend, you should bring additional ice chests and utensils, electric skillet, crock pots, etc
Is there an accessible place to fish for disabled people?
There is no admission fee. But you would have to pay parking fees if you decide to park and go on hikes. And that parking fee is good for whole of the park, you can park anywhere and head towards your trail. Theres a forest heritage centre, you can go there to grab maps and pay the parking.
Yep. There are also some areas with special regulations. Look for the red zone signs.
Don't need electricity...do it the old fashioned way, it's more like camping!☺
