Just a place in which nature will capture your attention. Park surrounded by lakes, rivers, flowers, birds, butterflies and the smell of nature get you to walk, run or just reflect in your day. Defenetly a place in which you can do as much exercise you want. It has his own parking with a $6 used fee for the entire day. You have a parking ticket machine, information center, even an art exposition. Go and enjoy totally recomend Rockefeller State Park Preserve.

The hike was easy, long flat paths. I also saw a few animals along the way. It’s very pretty here and the flowers smell amazing. Different parts of the park smell different and it was fun sniffing them, but I did get bored. Besides that there’s not much else to do.

We usually go here midweek when less people are present. The trails are easy and well marked. The sounds of the birds are amazing. We also love seeing the scores of turtles sunning themselves.

We took our cats here for a walk and they really enjoyed it! Especially Nori enjoyed climbing all over the rocks. This is a perfect place to take your kiddos and pets to enjoy a little bit of nature. There are also horse trails, so you might be lucky and see those as well. We got to see a couple of goslings with their mama, some turtles, birds,… it was so pleasant to walk around. The park wasn’t crowded at all and even if there were a bit more people there are so many trails that all you need to do is to find another trail. The parking was a bit of a problem. We had to park on the side of the highway because the parking lot was full. Also our battery died and we had to wait for AAA to jump start us. Service guy came within 30 min and we were off. While we were waiting for AAA the police came to check on us which was really nice. It felt like if something serious was happening there would be someone to help.

Depends on the kind of hiking you want to do. It is a wonderful park for nice, long walks through nature on hard, clear paths. There is nothing challenging about it other than distance though.
No
Depends. I've seen people with strollers. A good portion is paved but there's also sections that's it's gravel/rocky, which a steady stroller would be fine but just bumpy.
Dogs must be on leash. But the atmosphere feels fairly relaxed about dogs being leashed. As long as your dog is behaved and has a good retrieval call you should be a good to go. Use your common sense and if you see somebody approaching or coming up behind you quickly it's best to leash your dog. Assess the situation and then proceed with caution.
No bicycles allowed but on the Old Crofton Aquaduct they are that runs along Rockefeller in Tarrytown
Yes, several and they're each pretty easy and enjoyable. Nothing strenuous here.
