The 3 B. Lockwins

We loved this hike. It's a short walk to the pond and there was lots of wildlife there, including giant bullfrog tadpoles. The rest of the loop trail we took (blue to red to blue back) is shaded and beautiful but not too tough even though it's rocky and you should wear sturdy shoes. Heard owls hooting since it was near sunset. There was even a vine the kids could swing on, they loved that and I loved that it was over a flat clear area so not too dangerous. 😉

This is a deceptively large patch of woods right near downtown Mystic. Great for walking dogs or just an easy several mile hike. Paths on the west side are the nicest and can be used for trail running.
