This is a lovely State Recreation Area as you can see in the video. I do believe anyone visiting would enjoy this area. There are restrooms in multiple locations as well as showers in the campground area. There are a couple of weeping willow's and the one I show is actually probably closer to 50 years old versus the 100/200 that I estimated.

Well maintained, excellent Rangers. Bathroom are clean but I deducted one star because garbage cans are in the bathrooms and campers were dropping their garbage in the bathroom and it reeks.

Deschutes River Recreation Area is a beautiful state park. Right on the Deschutes River very close to where it meets the Columbia River. Big, private sites and a huge grassy area behind with large mature trees. Plenty of room for our 39’ class A. Great camp hosts. Quiet at night - kind of! If you are okay with the goose poop all over the grassy area and about 10 trains per day very close by and loud horns (only 1 or 2 in early hours of the morning), it’s a great place! We didn’t mind either of those things.

We stayed at loop B with our small, solar powered trailer. Lots of space, quiet, on the river. We only planned to stay one night as we were on the road, enjoyed it so much we stayed two nights.

Yes, fires not allowed between June 1-October 15. Propane-fueled stoves/grills are allowed.
https://www.oregonlive.com/sports/oregonian/bill_monroe/2018/07/lower_deschutes_riverbanks_des.html This is what this website says I'm not sure how close it is though. But it seems as if the campsite would be very smoky.
Yep. On leashes
Great question. Things are different now. Did go fishing last weekend it was absolutely beautiful and amazing. No bait .caught some trout.
24/7, go for it! I hike there all the time. The Deschutes river empties into The Columbia, right in between The Dalles Dam and The John Day Dam. There's plenty of electricity to go around.
10 for the campsites that have fewer amenities
Sort of. There's a nice long (I think at least 12 miles one-way) trail that follows the river. Its a great ride, my only "complaint" is that its basically a service road, so not very challenging riding at all other than a few steep hills
We were there for a couple of days. Not sure in monthly cost to rent.
$10 + a $8 online registration fee
Yes remember though you need a permit to use it in the Deschutes
I was there a week ago. Definitely one of my most favorite campsites I've been too. Very clean has restrooms and showers and a fire pit for every campsite wood is 5 dollars a bundle at the one of two camp host sites. Enjoy
