Although I haven't checked out the trails yet, this is a great place for a variety of activities and most beautiful and well cared for. Canadian geese swim in the river while kids play in the water. We stayed in the campground in late June and it reached nearly 100 degrees. But a nice breeze brought in some cooler air and the evening finished with a beautiful sunset. True, you need a boating pass to get out on the water or visit the island, but passes are cheap and totally worth it for those who appreciate the area and will leave things as good or better than how they found it. I can't wait to bring my kids back here with the bicycles!

We biked in about 13 miles along the upper trail before turning back. It's a great ride with a good workout attached. It's absolutely beautiful the whole way, but fighting the wind can be a bit much. We did see several rattle snakes on the trail, so be mindful and don't hike/bike alone.

Great spot! There's good river access here, and the park rangers that work here are fantastically nice. The hosts are a bit on the grumpy side, but the park ranger more than makes up for it. The grounds appear well capped. While I stayed there, the guests were courteous and pleasant to be around. There are some great hiking trails nearby.

Great location, very relaxed feel to the whole park. Parking was a little tricky in our spot but still accommodated our 24' trailer, space was paved and level which is a plus. Bathrooms were cleaned daily and showers were good. Lots of great areas to play all around the park. Train noise was loud, but not terrible. We'll definitely be staying again.

Go to state park Oregon reserve Or reserve America
It's about $25 a night plus reservation fees.
4PM but it doesn't hurt to ask the rangers if your site is ready earlier.
In July campground can be full.
The campground is still closed. The camp host Pam, she isn't back yet with her trailer. She was evacuated last week.
