Lovely hiking place. There are multiple trails, I am definitely visiting it again to explore the rest.

We were traveling from PA to Boston and we’re looking for a place to stop and stretch our legs. So glad we found this great preserve! We did a short hike around the pond. The trails were well maintained and well marked. Wear sturdy shoes…there are rocks and a lot of roots along the trail next to the water. Beautiful scenery!

So, this place almost killed me . It was my first time here . I started on the trail , and got about 2 miles in . At that point , the trail markers completely stopped . I thought I just got off track , and it took me about an hour to get back on the trail and tried to continue again. Once again, no more trail markers , lost for over an hour in the woods . Had to walk through a stream . Eventually found someone's house where I walked down their driveway , to a main road where I walked about 2 miles down the road to my car . I really wanted to like this place , but at this point , I'm fighting whoever designed this place.

Amazing place for hike. Beautiful trails, which are not difficult. Some of them can be done in couple of hours. Some trails will take longer. Visited in December. It was not at all crowded. If you want to experience silence of nature - this is a great option.

Hopefully everyone seeking the answer to this very important question Will find my answer Here.So from what I read on other links and websites alot of the residents in the area are upset with the parking situation. apparently the park fills up quick blocking the main access from the surrounding residents also there have been alot of complaints about hikers calling the emergency services because they decide to stay untill dusk and can't find their way out of the park.
Hi Dean, you can find information about the closure here: https://www.nature.org/en-us/newsroom/devils-den-social-distancing-closure/
I suggest you go in from the north via Tudor Road in Redding. This takes you to a beautiful view of a nearby resevoir
If you're asking is the Park closed to hikers because of hunting on December 10th, the answer is yes.
Yes it's free, there might be envelopes there if you want to mail in a donation you could.
