A great place for morning or evening walks. I was there at about sunset and found a lot of fireflies. The pond has turtles in it. Nowadays the place is green and you can smell that fresh breeze. I totally loved it.

Wonderful place for a stroll in nature. Great place for family gathering and walking around with the kids. The patjs are well maintained and well prepared. There is wildlife everywhere you go. The grassland in tree tunnels are amazing. There's also lakes and Little Rivers in the park as well. Definitely a good place to go to retreat and recharge from the busy life.

Walked through the Great Plains Nature Center building. Have to wear masks inside. But that is ok. People are friendly. Outside went down the chisholm trail. Saw the creek. Wonderful walk.

Beautiful paved and unpaved trails. You are almost guaranteed to see deer, turtles, geese, ducks and butterflies roaming around the park. The deer are not that afraid of humans so you can get pretty close to them. If you are willing to go a little off trail there are some wonderful isolated hammock spots in the middle of the plains. However be prepared to wade through miles of tall grasses and get ticks on your legs in search for these spots. This is a great park about 6 minutes from WSU for a quick getaway from city life.

It's free! And it's awesome! Definitely check it out!
Just the building. Trails close at dusk.
Definitely! Not overly busy, but didn't feel isolated. Accessible parking, great paved trails in loops of varying lengths. Highly recommend for running, strolling, birding, etc. Separate trails for biking and pets. The nature center also had awesome free exhibits and programs year-round. This place is seriously a gem.
It's open for trails
Totally free! You can donate inside the building if you want
They have over 2 miles of paved trails but it's safe to say that only quail trail and heron trails are the most accessible.
Chris B..You can only ride bikes on the posed path. Not on the trail. Its Posted on the enters.
