I literally love the food it’s amazing no complaints here about that. My issues are the lack of communication, availability.. they never answer the phone. Half the time they are closed and when you go in person the guy I’ve experienced twice is rude as hell.

Go for the atmosphere. Long wait after ordering food, about an hour (25 minutes for appetizers). The udon I ordered didn't have much flavor though my partner's ramen had way more flavor. The kitchen seemed to be backed up and the service was honest about the long wait times. Not a place to go if you want a quick hot meal. Good sake and beer options.

Japanese food and drink in a no-frills, slightly dated, diner atmosphere. I've heard people call it "divey" but it's really not, it's just not modern and lighting is kept low. The food was awesome and the place was so comfy we didn't want to leave. The chashu pork was absurdly good. Get the pork bun and make sure to add the pork to your ramen!! Takoyaki was also very good. I'll be back for sure.

Questions & Answers

Do you need a reservation for Monday July 1 afternoon jazz show? Also, what time do you recommend getting to Quinns for 4 o'clock show?

First of all.. Quinn's generally doesn't open until 6pm.. where did you see a show that starts at 4? Every Monday is jazz night.. so that part makes sense. In general, the shows tend to start between 8 and 9 depending on patron inflow. On rare occasion they draw a big act that is popular enough to require pre-purchased tickets at very reasonable prices.. so calling is good to make sure it isn't one of those.. although I see no Facebook event for July 1.. so I would seriously doubt big name act. Otherwise.. the seating is first come, first served. Go earlier if you prefer a booth.. but there is ledge and bar seating with access to the full menu. If I were going and was a big fan of the act.. I would show up at 7:45.
