The owners are FABULOUS . Thor the doggie is MAGNIFICENT. The views and air BREATHTAKING. The Camp AMAZING. I want to go baaaaaaaack. The only problems I have are personal. I don't have a car ,and my vacation time is limited, so I have to wait until I can visit again with my fiance and friends. Truly looking forward to it again. We will make this a yearly vacation visit, IF not more.

No car? No camping items? But want to camp and hike? This is the perfect place for you! Shuttle will pick you up from the Beacon train station and leave you at the start of the trail, you can hike to the campground. The hikes are of 3 types (5hrs, 3hrs and 0.5hrs) The staff is very kind and welcoming. Mr. Malouf is an amazing person! You can order food here (Note: You get raw materials only. You need to boil or cook the food by yourself) They also have a vending machine for snacks, cool drinks and water. The campsites are clean and well-maintained. There will be a lot of insects so be prepared. Overall, It's very convenient camping and hiking experience for beginners.

5 stars because I had an absolute blast, and so did my friends. There's room for improvement though. The website certainly didn't do the place justice. We all expected a slightly less genuine camping experience and thought the hike would be a walk in the park, but both expectations were blown out of the water. The campsite was beautiful and the hike was a legitimate fitness test. Yes, this is more of a pro than a con, but the website could use some sprucing up. The main shortcoming of the campground was the steep slope leading down to the bathhouse and vending area. My knees were doing just fine after our 3 hour hike, but got destroyed by the slope in the campground. It's really not very walkable, yet we had to walk it at least 2-3 times a day. I'd highly recommend either installing steps on the side of the path or relocating the bathhouse to the center of the campground, although I realize these are pretty tall asks. Aside from the above, I only have praises. The platform setup plus food delivery service made for a truly stress-free getaway for my group, who were largely amateur campers and just wanted to get away for a weekend without too much planning. A pure camping experience with no setup at all would've been out of question for us, but Malouf's made it possible to experience the same quality camping excursion. Views from the overlook on hike #2 were spectacular. And the food quality was also shockingly good; the steaks were amazing, after some well-timed BBQing.

Just went with a few friends for Labor Day weekend and had a total blast! Having to hike in and out of the campgrounds was a real fun experience. We took the 2.5 hour hike and boy is that hard but totally worth it! The staff was more than just accommodating, they are the most friendliest people you’ll meet; a real treat coming from the city. If you forget anything at home for your camp site, they will help you out no questions asked! Bathrooms are super clean, campground is perfect! I’m already planning our next trip up!!
