You can make an appointment by calling the store but you don't have to have an appointment to visit the store. They allow walkins.

You have to go to the store and stand in line. One of the reps will ask you what you need and will then determine if a tech on site is available to assist you. If not, they will give you a time to return. I took my Apple watch in for repair and had to return three hours later. They send you text updates. It's a pretty efficient system. Very friendly staff.

Orly, I believe you should be able to do that but you should call them directly first to see if they will do that because they always busy. It best if you call and make an appointment because every time when I walk by there always a line of people waiting to get in. It easier if you make an appointment.

You can, check in and wait about 15-45 minutes for them to text you they're ready. What type of phone do you have? If it's broken they'll charge you for a new screen repair to replace the home button. If the button is just not clicking or dislodged (iPhone 5s, 6, 6s, ect.) And just needs to be out back in place, you can go to iSquad Repair Carlsbad. Should only take 5 minutes to adjust your home button, no charge. Otherwise about $29 to replace. Keep in mind if it's iPhone 7 they block us with software from having it work.

I would, but you can sometimes make one when you get there.

First, you need about a half an hour of free time. And then try to navigate the closest option to what you really want to talk about. Then you need patience. I made a genius bar appointment, but haven't been able to figure out how to cancel it. Very frustrating spending 10 plus minutes simply trying to cancel an appointment.

I am not 100,% sure that they can do it while you wait; you may have to leave it and/or they may send it out to be done if they don't do that in the store. If your iPad is still under warranty or if you have an Apple extended warranty, they might just swap it out for you and reload all of your backed up info onto the new one.
